No doubt Tasmans have the best list with everyone on the park. Will they still have 5 or 6 out this week is the question?
With a full list and all teams being equal Tasmans are a 5 goal better side than anyone else.
WCP brings up a very good point about dropping games when not at your best but it seems all the top 3 sides have done it in recent times. The side that gets their act together the quickest will get the double chance.

Blues I was interested in your thoughts on Levi who like all big guys take time to develop.
Others I can think of like Jake Stoll Tom Sandercock.
Maybe there better off playing basketball and getting picked up in the draft
rather than wandering around at PAFC.
It certainly has worked for a few players.
Maybe its better to be chased than doing the chasing !

You would think if they were serious about playing AFL football the best option is to do it through the SANFL. I am sure Tom realises this. I know Brenton Phillips was very impressed with Levi during his game for Port U18s earlier this year.

Bostons could have a couple of similar looking AFL champions line up for the game against Mallee's.

After getting done by Bostons two starts back? We had several out before you start to. Class sides don't drop games to cellar dwellers if they are serious.

What is in their favour is the Peckers recent poor form and I didn't see much to get excited about by Waybacks on Saturday. Bit of a lottery and could come down to the weather or simply the form of one side on the day.

The last 3 weeks have thrown up some very interesting results indeed. Top 3 sides look to be vulnerable, and the bottom 3 definately are improving.
My opinion all year has been that the Roosters best side is 5-6 goals better than the rest. Losing Daniels definately hurts that, but still think this will be their year.
I think the game of the round will be LS v MR. This game will be a ripper with plent hanging on it for both sides. A real chance for the Eagles to press their top 4 chances, and prove that they didn't meet MP anf WFC on off days.

Great to see the Wakelins coming back well done ! Are Mallees bringing back the Burgoynes?
Hope you get a great turn out.

?? BTB I presume you mean rd15 when LSFC plays MRFC.

I agree with you on the Tasmans front, the next 3 weeks will reveal the true Tasmans of 2011 as they have most of their key players returning, The Semmler influence cannot be disregarded as both Souths and Waybacks found out in 2009.

Who are the BFC AFL players? Wakelins? Leslie? :?

Tasmans Mallees will finish top 2, with Waybacks having to do well to move past either Rangers or Souths(more likely Rangers). Tasmans will lose to peckers in a damp 2nd semi, then win the prelim and Grandy on dry days. Dont want this to be the case but have an inkling this is how it might turn out.

Bostons have 1 hand on the spoon to collect their 9th spoon in 11 years :-s
For them to dodge that they need to beat Souths this week and hope someone belts Souths in the final 2, whilst keeping ok % themselves

And you just wait until Mallee's squeal like pigs about them playing. That is going to be the best part, especially if they help us to a win when they really need one. Can hear Jack & Joe already...

Has anyone else noticed WCP's favourite sports writer's newest term?

Since the young players in the Eagles have stepped up, they are a "cluster."

Not a bad term, but surely there is more than one word in his vocabulary...

After all he's been "the Times head sports writer for twelve years, and has been involved in over 1000 football matches."

Panther, talking to a close contact not too long ago, they were disappointed in the fact that only a handful of players/supporters were at the club after your win against Souths earlier on in the year (a win that was fairly significant for the club). Also heard that you lost a couple of players to another league, mainly due too this fact?
