WCP you make some good points about clubs staying open on saturday nights.I would like to see a return to the good old days of celerbrating long and hard after a good win, drink sprints on mortlock sundays and the B grade allowed to be treated like adults and allowed more then one beer after a game. The unfortuant facts is its now hard for clubs to keep costs down, with it harder to employ volunteer bar staff, excess running costs etc.For the patrons the cost of bar and canteen/kitchen merchandise on top of taxi fares, with drink driving a huge factor.I cant help but think the wowsers that run this country are strarting to get their way.The next 3 to 4 years are going to be very interesting as a dollar to splash out on a beer becomes harder and harder.

Can you let OLD COOPER know if he referring to Basco’s leaving Tigers, they left because they weren’t going to get A grade game and not putting in the effort. Capabilities mixed up with ambitions those two. After easy game of A grade so went to Ramblers, shows how smart they are.

As I digest your comment myself OC, I'm not sure there is much substance to it, as Bostons has been really good all year with line ups for teas etc, plenty of kids around. Maybe that was a weak excuse a couple have used, that may not be the above two mentioned. Be interested to know which players you were talking to.

That may be the case and I'm not doubting that at all, but have been told by a very reliable source (not naming names) that it was part of the reason of a couple of departures earlier this year. Just thought it was worth mentioning whilst you were throwing it out too the Souths FC ;)

I can see your point. It would be like Christmas at bostons because it only happens once a year for you blokes.

And some years father christmas doesn't even rock up

Unlike a few others bro, it makes us humble, rather than arrogant.

I got a message last night, it must have been a good night after a win... ;)

Congrats to Drew Hardy from Westys in the Far West League on winning the MAIL Medal. Will be interesting to see who can win in the other leagues?

Great Flinders blokes - Has Jay Shannon been given the DCM by Bamford at the Magpies? Over on the SANFL board he sacked his reserves coach Darren Mead this week after he told several u/18 & reserves players that they were no longer required with 4 weeks to go in the season when both teams are in the mix for finals. Very poor form from the senior coach with finals around the corner or is he just protecting himself?
