if what leslie done was correct, it doesn't surprise me. he is a very good coach and apparently a good bloke but he doesn't need to go abusing umpires in full view of everyone. he did this GF alot and even in one game againest us, he run from the coaches box at karkoo all the way down to the northern goals (some 100m) to abuse our goal umpire for a mistake. yes the goal umpire was wrong but leslie's reaction was shocking in front of everyone. guess what? the goal umpire in question that day has never done the job again.

I heard the Cougars coach reacted at three quarter time in full view of everyone this week and let the umpires know what he though of their efforts. When you really get fleeced, it's a bit difficult to control yourself.

I think you will find that one umpire in particular from the cougars EU game has already had an official complaint lodged about him earlier in year. He doesnt decide games, he ruins great games, and the big concern with his umpiring is that young kids, colts and fresh out of colts kids are getting hit behind play and he is offering no protection. DJD well done on the restraint, i know how hard it would have been.

Great Flinders blokes - Has Jay Shannon been given the DCM by Bamford at the Magpies? Over on the SANFL board he sacked his reserves coach Darren Mead this week after he told several u/18 & reserves players that they were no longer required with 4 weeks to go in the season when both teams are in the mix for finals. Very poor form from the senior coach with finals around the corner or is he just protecting himself?

Jay played in the reserves yesterday at Port. In the SANFL its all about senior premierships, not how many reserves or U18 premierships you win. When you sit down and look at your lists you need to evaluate whether individuals are capable or have the potential of playing good league footy. Coming to this conclusion doesnt happen overnight, but when you are certain you need to make the call, because playing guys at reserve grade or in the U18s who arent going to play league football just takes the spot of someone who is still a chance to.

Gee slots you will open a can of worms with that comment, there is an occasional poster on this site who abosolutlys love premierships for the port u/18s and ressies and Leo thinks they are better than league ones.

he was one of them!! seems to see things or not! if we had kicked straight or tackled better we would have won. if lando gregory hadn't ripped his other hammy (very bad) he would have kicked 15 and we wouldn't have won. move on! us and ramblers this week and second semi and both have injuries.

Do you have a problem with the club being proactive and doing their best to get a decent crowd to watch a game of footy? It is the sponsors day as well and the club is doing their upmost to promote the club as one going forward.
