If it was the bit with me OL, then nothing totally out of the ordinary...

What was said and who was involved?

Can totally agree with this, best half of PL football I have seen in a long time. 11.8 to 10.6 at the half, plenty of goals, great skills on a beautiful day with a reasonable crowd. The 4 goals they kicked in about the first 5 minutes of the thrid destroyed it all though, the Peckers were simply awesome and we were made to look like witches hats.

I was impressed with young Rees westcoastpanther, he spent some time in defence and looked to have composure beyond his years and was not intimidated by the big crowd and opposition.
Thought you may have had a real advantage with Watherston and the Wakelins up forward but Ainsley Betts and that overweight young lad at full back just seem to get the job done, Reese Jackamarra is also under-rated as the third man up. On the fast break the other way the Peckers were just awesome at creating space on the small oval and they have some classy finishers.
Thought Byron Pickett did a few things in the last half to suggest he might be able to have an impact come finals. Because lets face it he hasnt done much thus far.
With the ladder now set in concrete how do the Demons and Peckers tackle this weeks game given they play each other a fortnight later in the 2nd Semi?
Tasmans and Marble Range will look to fine tune against the bottom sides this week before they clash in the 1st semi.
And that leaves Lincoln South to take home the trophy that no one wants, the wooden one :D

There did look a big crowd. We took $3,100 through the gates in the particular game. A good result for a game in which MPFC are involved.

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

Yes, young Reesy was given 1st best by Troy, really impressive young lad. Umpires the u'9s and 11's most weeks, plays 17's then A grade. Great kid to have coming through.

Young Gooder was also given the incentive award, for getting told at the last minute Shane was coming again and he had to miss out on being part of the great occasion the day was. He was apparently devastated as a young lad would be but took it well...

tough season for the Eagles very few supporters there on Saturday
I know they will get back Paul White next year but they also need to wander
up the road and get back a few of there players.
Could anyone lip read Snappers extended tirade to the umpires at the end of the game?
Lucky the senior umpire is a former Eagles great otherwise he might have got a couple
of weeks.......................

Very enjoyable day at Planet Wangary on Saturday. Pretty good footy and a very enjoyable night..think we left at about 10.30.
Things I learned from Saturday.....1)Miegel and Parker are as good a forward duo in the league. 2)Watson has improved immensely this year. 3)Kobelt is one of the most awkwardly effective players I have witnessed. 4)One more quality midfielder to help TO, D Scott and Sampson would see them challenging for higher honors. 5) Just because Super Dry cans have 15 ml less volume isn't an effective method of staying sober

I think the younger lad although very dissapointed has a lot more football ahead of him. The day was there to promote the tigers and the Wakelins
