Last weeks results make interesting reading. No goals to Pinch - must've been injured? Barossa had Thwaites and Emes each kicking 4 and in the best. Both rarely sighted the week before. Have they re-structured their fwd line? And how good was Hopgood for the Lions? South are beginning to look like a real contender this year. Don't write them off in the premiership race. They'll be right amongst it in September like they always are. Willaston also showed they can match it with GC and they have the game plan to worry every team - pity they didn't convert enough opportunities into goals. That Brown-Pichugin was a great pick up for the Donnies.A little more scoreboard pressure early and who knows how the result might've gone.I still reckon Nuri are the sleeping giants, look out for them in the next month as they get some good players back.

I believe Cooper Pinch made his A grade debut on the weekend and didn't play 17's.
Whether he will play more games for the A's i'm not sure.

Aaron McAlpine for Barossa is having a good year. He has been pictured in the Barracker a number of times and has been getting a number of votes for rookie of the year.
If I see it I say it.

Ben Schiller is playing great footy, Shaun Lay played a great game on the weekend and looks right at home and Lachy Hewett is also getting amongst it.

I actually heard that he only came on during the last quarter.

Tom McKinnon, James Cobbledick, Luke Foster and Justin Zanadrea all played A's this year, with Tom debuting on the weekend against South.
Angaston's Nic Falland has play A's.
Freeling's Aaron Cocks, Travis Barnes, Max Doherty, Bill Ahrens and Ashley McCard have played.
Central's Stockwell, not sure on his first name and Copper Pinch.
Tanunda's Lachy Agars and Ben Schiller.
Barossa's Leigh Bulcher, although I don't think he has played 17's this season.

These are the only players that I'm aware of that have played A's.
I'm not sure of any South, Nurioopta or Willaston players, playing A grade.
There are a couple mentioned above aswell but I'm not sure if they are still eligable for 17's.

DR - So you think that Leigh Blucher will actually turn up ? My spies tell me he hasn't been sighted at training yet.

Yeah I heard that, I guess if he doesn't turn up he can't make the side. I'll just go with Falland to dominate on a half forward flank.

ive been lead to believe that if a player that has been asked to train for the association team doesn't rock up to trainings they get suspended for a week or two... is there any truth in that or was someone just having me on...

parsons terrific 4-5 goals

travis barnes ben schiller were my two best

pitchwin-brown i think was terrible. jack madjen redeemed himself with his ruckwork but everywere else wasnt flash. they needed agars a tall quick flanker. there midfielders didnt get back to help there defence well enough. the hills onballers were always there. and richard haymon played in the ruck for to long.
