White has missed a few games. I guess the top few are pretty strong this year for association.
BazzW - nice work! You're onto it.
Interesting to see if Page slipped any Woodies into the side. Having overlooked Fleet and apparently Brown not playing, who spearheads?
2 FF with 76-odd goals between them neither pulling on the jumper. Maybe Page has picked Smith...

Or with a midfield/rebounding halfback line and HF line of: Mehta/Waite/Trzsenski/Nunan/Sutherland/Stansborough/Stapleton and alike...do they expect to run it to the 40 and kick goals from there??

You would think Chad Dawe would play full forward.

You guys are right about Trav white, he only came back to play for lofty a few weeks ago, he probably needs the rest.

The HFL Country beat KI by 2 goals. Interesting to see Coad from Lobethal playing in that team, thought it was supposed to be country div!

Tips for the w/end??

Me...
Lofty over Hahndorf
Uraidla easily over Loby
Blackwood will beat Bridgey at Windy Hill
Mt Barker to beat Onkas in a good game.

To me, this round of games will have a BIG bearing on the actual shape of the final 5.
if my tips work out, it should look something like:
Lofty
Uraidla
Mt barker
Hahndorf
Onkas

I reckon that's close to what i picked preseason and could be close to what happens near the end, although I think I had Blackwood in at 5. Stranger things have happened...

Country games for 17/6 are
Macclesfield v Torrens Valley
Kersbrook v Kangarilla (likely to be game of the day)
Callington v Nairne-Bremer
Gumeracha v Echunga
Blackwood v Birdwood (also a good match likely at Windy Hill)

Have heard a rumour that Callington may be on last legs as far as fielding a side. Only 9 players in last start at Mt Torrens, rest was made up by Senior Colts and B-grade. Either way, Nairne will have a morale boosting outing tomorrow, either goal fest or a forfeit?
Will also be interesting to see if all the Valley Lions players supposedly too crook to play inter-league suddenly make a miracle recovery to find their way to Maccy!
Kersbrook's guys were very good against KI and may well cause Kangarilla a few problems, but you'd expect the Blues to continue their run.
Will be interested to note any problems with mis understandings, given the close nature of the two jumpers.

Sounds like you might be right about Callington, Ball Magnet. They certainly have had trouble in recent years fielding full sides for away games.
As far as Torrens Valley goes, I'm sure all their players will be back fit and ready to go :( :( :( :(

agree on all counts odb. callington always fall away this time of the year.
and of course the tv players will have made full recoveries for tomorrows game. gee it was such a shock to see them get crook and miss out on lasts weeks assoc game.
anyway, they will be much too good for you guys tomorrow.
think kersbrook can beat kangy
nairne, easy
echunga, easy
blackwood, just. cos it is at home.

What about the huge clash at the Thunderdome this week??

The Ironbank boys are pumping them selves up looking for that first win of the year, but Gee, If they drop this one you would have to think it may be a winless season?

Anyone capable of stopping the Mt Lofty Express?? Surely the cheque book must be getting a little thin!

Im curious to know why people talk up Loftys cheque book every week when if they did there homework they would find that most of the guns played underage footy there.

Uraidla , Mitchell, Hardacre, George, Staples, Thomas, Newland, Taverner, Sutherland wouldn't play for free.

Lobethal, Cook takes their budget.

Onkas, Klun, Shee, Contin, Kerber wouldn't play for free.

Hahndorf, Stansbourough, Harkness, Stephens? Ormond Allen?

Bridgewater, Bentley, Butchard wouldn't have come up for nothing.

Im sure every side has them.

However if you have got it spend I say. Some of those terrible country sides should spend a little more and people might come and watch that crap.
