Not sure of the story, Quinno probably had a tiff with Thommo who knows. They fight like brothers those 2, disappointing but hes still coaching the b's and enjoying it from what I hear and see.

Big Fella I'm glad you rectracted the "money men" comment. Money has little to do with the reasons for why these two players left the RAMS.

You are correct, we haven't paid the big bucks like others and are really working on developing our juniors to play consistent footy. This comes with good coaches & game time and will hold our young list well for the coming years.

The rams have not achieved the success they strive for but it will come and hopefully the hard work many people are putting in will hold the Club as a whole in good sted for many years. There's definately a level of excitement building and we've still got a good chance of playing finals footy in 2011, bring on the Meadows game!

Whats this talk about the rams not spending much money i know for a fact they pay a fair bit for one player who wanted to leave early in the year but had signed a contract and he is not the only one on coin there. Also didn't they go out shopping for players in the pre season but could not find any which had some talking that they should change the colour of there Guernsey

Hey Kick n Back, never said we didn't pay anyone, we just don't pay excessive amounts of money. The player in question wanted to leave due to family reasons and yes we did go out recruiting but couldn't recruit the right type of person for our club. We have never offered silly amounts of money to someone who hasn't played at a much higher level. Wheather that's the right thing to do, only time will tell!

In regards to our Guernsey, we are introducing a Heritage Guernsey that will be worn on Life Members Day so not sure where you're going with that comment? Surely you're not suggesting the Guernsey has anything to do with recruitment of players?

Meadows played out of there skin for two 10 minute periods and at the same time Echunga went to sleep. Plus accuracy in front of goals could have had the game over at three quarter time.
We want Vaughn.

Good news that Cally kicked a few. If both are miners, then both are local so it's good the catchment area is picking up. A vast improvement, well done boys.

Thanks for the support guys. Yes, Pat Thornton was a recruit from the K2 Mine, first game back and straight into it with 3 Goals. Very greatful for the support of all the companies and staff involved in the mine, they've been a big help for us this year.

Young Luke Webb is actually a returning junior. Came back two weeks ago, had a great warm up run in the Reserves last week, and cemented his A Grade spot with a great effort against Nairne.

One-Eyed is correct, only baby steps, still a long way to go. But the boys were all proud of their effort on Saturday, and will keep working at it.

There was a lot of criticism at the beginning of the year about Mitch's appointment, but honestly, he's done an excellent job coaching, both the A's and Under 13's, and has also been a huge part of the club in general. One of the best decisions we've made in years!

Pretty good side there Kick'n. No room for Bingos?? I would have him in before Danielle in a heart beat - especially after watching him yesterday. He's a lot slower and heavier than when he was at Birdwood and Kangarilla and his work rate was poor yesterday.

I also wouldn't have Krieg on the ball either. I reckon Adam Waller from Meadows would slot nicely in there - thought he was pretty good against us. Or maybe Jack Beverlander. I haven't seen that Wade play but I reckon big Jock would be handy as a 2nd ruckman and then to go forward. I don't rate Ashby or Graham - both front-runners that are good against the poor sides but go missing against the top sides.F: C.Morris(Bird) L.Fleet(Ech) B.Lees(Kers)

Echunga Also had the following A grade players Out either resting or with injury -
Jesse Edwards, L Fleet, S Maslin, A Hancock, C Hall, N Sheehan and K Pocock. and still had the depth to cover Meadows!

Only Just though.
