Who's talking about his past???? So you pick someone on their past glories do you???
If you had seen him play against Birdwood, you would've seen what I did - a poor game. He's been in the BP's twice this season - against Callington and Maccy!

I cant speak for this year as I didnt see the losing games but the last 2 years hes been our best player in the games weve been flogged. Hes also a bit of a victim of being versatile. Rarely does he spend an entire game in 1 position, especially during games against the big guns, hes the first 1 moved. I wouldnt read too much into our best players lists either, lets just say some of them have left a few people..... "puzzled".

Definetly would make the interleague side no question. Handy side that some people have picked though. Braden Hutt would have to be in the mix too.

Webb from YP league best on sat

Thornton 3 goals ex Bunbury WA league 3 goals

both miners at KMT??

Good news that Cally kicked a few. If both are miners, then both are local so it's good the catchment area is picking up. A vast improvement, well done boys.

Thanks for the support guys. Yes, Pat Thornton was a recruit from the K2 Mine, first game back and straight into it with 3 Goals. Very greatful for the support of all the companies and staff involved in the mine, they've been a big help for us this year.

Young Luke Webb is actually a returning junior. Came back two weeks ago, had a great warm up run in the Reserves last week, and cemented his A Grade spot with a great effort against Nairne.

One-Eyed is correct, only baby steps, still a long way to go. But the boys were all proud of their effort on Saturday, and will keep working at it.

There was a lot of criticism at the beginning of the year about Mitch's appointment, but honestly, he's done an excellent job coaching, both the A's and Under 13's, and has also been a huge part of the club in general. One of the best decisions we've made in years!

Is that the U/13 side with 6 over age players having the other sides looking over their shoulders?

Shae Mitchell has revived the club with some CPR. Should be a chance for coach of the year in my eyes.

Have spoken to a few past cornerstone students they all apparantly got a flyer this week to express there interest in playing for cornerstone in the country division, some sounded keen. They have got a great oval but it would be a lot of work to get up and running changerooms, grandstand, clubhouse etc. Mt barker area might warrant having another club in a few years? I know a few clubs in the area that wouldn't be too happy about it as it is hard enough at the moment to fill teams. Other peoples thoughts?

Can anyone from Echunga tell me how Brett Slotegraaf goes as a Footballer? He's just signed with us at Mawson Lakes (mates with Rob O'Gorman) and apparently did some of his best work with Echunga.

Not a condition of employment, but an ability/willingness to play footy certainly assists them during the selection process.
Older, wiser and been there. But still love that grassroots country footy.
