With the likely loss of 5 to 6 key players at the end of the season, and the lack of juniors it doesn't look good.
Don't blame people at club though as I know they work their guts out and I've been saying for the last 10 years that Macclesfield as a town should be called 'Clarendon Mark II' as it is a far different place to what it was even 15 years ago and I can guarantee if we had to rely on local content, we'd be lucky to fill a C grade side. Would be fair to say that 85% of the community has doing to do with the town at any level, let alone the football club.
I know some people will say 'that's what you get for going the paid players road' but everyone else was doing it so we didn't have much choice if we wanted to be competitive and if we wanted to fill 2 sides full stop.
On a slightly different note, some players there have been blaming the coach in regards to their own form and how they fit into the side since 2007 - well there's been 4 coaches in that time and they can't all be wrong.

Who are the 5 or 6 that are likley to leave?

Only the great SJ could get them out of this.
Talking about great coaches, could Mitchell be a smokey for coach of the year.

That would be a bigger disgrace than Thomo winning it the other year

Heard a rumor that Mitchell was reported for threating to kill the umpires last weekend? Not sure if he was reported as a player or the coach? Can you win coach of the year if you get reported as one?

He was given 8 weeks with 4 suspended. Does this mean he cant coach because he coaches the U/13's and A Grade? Does he get kicked out of the club like the others during the year that have been suspended for multiple games? What a role model for the club.

I agree, sensational role model given what's been posted on here...

But, he could still coach, just not allowed on the field, or to be named on the team sheet.

Most recently Chris Ladhams was in the paper, suspended, and coaching from the back of a ute on the sidelines...

Let's not forget that there was a coach at Cally a few years back (2008) that should have been banned for the rest of season after a certain incident but because he told league that he was resigning from coaching position the HFL never pursued it and he came back about a fortnight later and finished the season off.

Side-lines, backs of utes, what next? Via mobile phone from paddy-wagons, jail cells etc? Fair suck of the old sav! Let's clean this up HFL.
Older, wiser and been there. But still love that grassroots country footy.

I see Matt Slade played his second game for Kerbrook B's on Satdy. Was a bit surprised out of the 39 goals kicked by Kersy, a player of that quality couldn't kick one?? Especially after he got BOG in his first game!

Must've been holding down the back pocket!!

Geez, that's unlucky!! I wonder if it will heal quick enough to be able to play another 2 games out of 3 to qualify for finals??

Isn't slade an assistant at north Adelaide. Didn't they play last Saturday. Thought it would of been pretty hard to be at the north game and than still manage to play b grade for kersbrook. Must be great at time management.

Fair drive from Prospect to Callington too!!

Let's hope his "pulled hammy" is right to go v Birdwood so that he gets his wish.

Almost John Cock like.
They wheel him away in a wheel chair after doing his hammy and concussion
but should be right for this week.
