Footy Head... after reading your post i got in contact with a few people i no from the GC and to my surprise Webster wasn't picked this week... still feeling a bit under the weather and the coach said have another week off and some of the younger boys can play a game... i thought that was a pretty brave move by the coach... i look forward to someone telling me who stood up and kicked the big score...

Will be travelling to watch that this one Ablett. Don't think GC will have any problem kicking a massive score.

Tipping them this round with the inclusion of defender Joel Wilson back from U16's.(though I think he has come back already).

Angaston have a snowball's chance in hell of winning against any bar Kapunda and Tanunda. Haven't seen Joel Wilson play but in my experience the Central's under 16's boys aren't that influential in BL&G under 17 1/2's football (although there are a couple of exceptions of course) so can't see him making a big enough difference.

Who gives a ****! There were a number of lads in that side that could have captained and everyone has their own opinion.

Just wondering how it is a brave move?
Centrals are playing Kapunda the second bottom side just to remind you and even if they got Pinch and Webby out they got other goal avenues, such as Daniel Mills and Charlie Molyneux who have kicked 10 and 5 goals in the past 3 weeks.
IMO it is a smart move by the coach to rest there best players during the games against lower ranked sides.

yeah i no they have other goal avenues... 'brave' probably wasn't the best word to use... i meant that if they wanted to boost their percentage you'd atleast keep one of two leading goal kickers in...

but he might be trying someone else in the full forward and centre half forward positions for the next few years... suppose not a bad move... Charlie Molyneux or even Daniel Mills might get a gig at the full forward position... lol... wonder what the kapunda coach will do to stop that haha... be pretty funny to see...

and i had got over that an had accepted that he wasnt going to get captin thats why i didnt bring him up when its was broght up again. i was mearly saying that mcarthy is a good player not a captin.

damm was hoping to see a 30 goal win that game dont think it will be as big now. should kapunda just take the hit and put zanandrea and cobbeldick in the backlines. see if they can stop the pain.

I have to agree with FB here.
To make unkind personal remarks that are obviously intended to humiliate or embarrass someone in a forum like this is beyond the realms of decency and fair play. To me it says something about the sender and it's really not funny.
Back onto the footy, I reckon FB's boys will give Nuri a hell of a touch up in the wet tomorrow. I'm looking forward to seeing a really tough, hard fought match and hope that Adam Schmidt kicks a huge bag for the redlegs.

I think 10 goal is giving Tanunda a bit of credit there Boots.
South wont have much trouble.
Freeling struggled to begin with last round against the pies.
But it was Agars in my opinion that kept Tanunda within a respectable margin.
He kicked 5 of there 6 goals, so if south can tag him they will breeze through.

Angaston vs Willaston. Willaston by a mile. Ango will not get close to any team this year.

Gawler Central vs Kapunda. GC can play a game for all 4 quarters and this week will be a training run for them.

South Gawler vs Tanunda. South can put a good game together and they seem to be getting better each week.

Freeling vs Nuriootpa. Nuri this week for me. Nuri are a very good team when the heat is on. Freeling are still not able to put 4 quaters together and that will be their down fall.

Freeling 2.1 2.3 5.4 9.5 (59) I see that Nuri beat Freeling. Looking at the Freeling game and the 2nd quarter they still can't play 4 quarters. I think they are a team that under estimates the others. Come back to earth Freeling because you are looking at missing out on a grand final.

Willaston 6.2 9.4 12.8 13.10 (88)
Angaston 1.0 2.1 3.2 6.7 (43)

Gawler Central 7.5 9.8 12.11 14.17 (101)
Kapunda 0.1 1.1 1.1 1.3 (9)

South Gawler 5.1 10.9 13.13 18.16 (124)
Tanunda 2.0 2.0 3.2 4.3 (27)

Nuriootpa 2.0 5.5 6.8 11.9 (75)
Freeling 2.1 2.3 5.4 9.5 (59)

Willaston's win doesn't really surprise me... Good to see ango didn't give up...

GC win wasn't a blow out like everyone was expecting... Hancock lol i said brave move lol haha... but they still won... looks like kapunda did ok after the first qtr... DR care to share some light on what the game was like...

South seem to have got them selves back together again...

Nuri beat Freeling... i think you have a point there CC...

Didn't see a huge amount of the game but of the bits I did see, GC were making it difficult for themselves. Sometimes in footy you see teams that are so much better than the side they're playing that it makes them play poorly. I think that happened to some degree. GC had a lot of shots from the pockets also and with the wind swirling it made it difficult. But credit to the young Bombers their pressure did cause some GC mistakes in the middle.

Very much looking forward to this week's, Nuri v South Gawler matchup. A South win means they are well and truly in the race. I still think GC and Freeling will make up the top 2. But 3rd and 4th are open to South, Nuri and Barossa.

Next four rounds.
South: Nuri, Freeling, BYE, Gawler Central
Nuri: South, Gawler Central, Ango, BD
BD: Willaston, Kapunda, Tanunda, Nuri

South have a hard run and Nuri's is only marginally easier. BD should win at least 3 of the 4.
Exciting month of footy ahead!

I think you are right Dizzee, with Freeling and GC in the top 2. Looking at this week will be 2 good games with Nuri & South - Willaston & Barossa. These 2 teams are both on 8 points and this week will be a very important game for Nuri,South, Willaston & Barossa.
If I see it I say it.
