Nairne are always going to be good this time of year
Funny, but the same's being thrown around on the Central thread so maybe there's a bit to it. Looooooooooooooong way out now though.

I'm hearing the Roosters are happy where they are at the moment. Bridgewater will get a reprieve.

I notice in the Courier that Callington are seeking applications from coaches "in all grades". Since they only had under 13's and Seniors this year, and both were coached by Shane Mitchell, what has happened this time? Where has the supercoach gone? Club 'officials' assured us he was in it for the long haul. Many posters here predicted he wouldn't last the year and it looks like we were right and he hasn't.

Who's got the Nairne job. Could be a good one to have if the rumours of in-comings are true.

I knew people would see that and come to that conclusion, however, no it doesn't mean Shayne is leaving. It's simply a condition of our constitution that each position be advertised every year. At this point, Shayne will be staying on as A Grade & Under 15's Coach. Not sure on 17's again, but we will at least be able to field 15's as well as 13's next year.

Is that a real U/13's side or is half the team going to be over age again?

So Echunga A grade coach has been sacked. Bit rough after just winning a premiership I'd say.

Hhhmmm......Not sure that eight weeks for threatening to kill an umpire is the greatest look on a resume. And re the Under 13's, it might be all about kids getting a game. But there may also be some genuine Under 13's from other sides who might choose to AVOID a game if they're 12 years old and likely to find themselves standing an apponent who's nearly 15 and almost a man.
Older, wiser and been there. But still love that grassroots country footy.
