Looks like Gumeracha are resigned to the fact that they have lost ruckman Ian Bellman to Central United and have now recruited former Paralowie and Mawson Lakes Ruckman Dean Nisbet as his replacement.

Think they have also signed Clegg from Central United, who is a ruckman, but far from being of the calibre of the above two names.

Gee ruckmen must be hard to come by if Gum are spending money on a div 7 B grader in Nisbet

Well looks like Sedan Cambrai can see Gumeracha's Div 7 B grade ruckman recruit and raise it. They've recruited Brahma Lodge C grader Mark Podzuweit . Lot of quality ruck recruits heading into this comp!

Hadn't heard that one but nothing wrong with a few extra players, regardless of whether they fit in the A or B grade sides.

There is something wrong with it, when there’s money involved!

Why is there something wrong with it if the clubs are dumb enough to pay them. Goodluck to those guys.

You guys are hard to please. Bagged for not being competitive, bagged for recruiting players. He'd have to play A's to get a few dollars (which would be nowhere in the league other players get), and will have to earn his spot to get there. The club isn't aiming to win a premiership, just to keep you people happy by being competitive at this stage. Now I'm sure you'll pick this statement to pieces with some wit or sarcasm, but that's the reality.

As an addition to above, I've been informed the initial rumour was way off the mark. However, the club is always happy to accept anyone willing to have a go.

The Bassani reign at Echunga has had it's first casualty with their B grade coach for the past 4 years Joey Whyatt throwing in the towel

ill informed, Ben Hull was appointed as the reserves coach. Basinni had nothing to do with the involvment or lack of involvment of Joey

McGahey from Birdwood is on $700 a game and you would think that would be the most since Torrens Valley left for Hills Central.

McGahey may not be the only one on that sort of coin at Birdwood next season a past player who has been playing at Payneham is heading back after knocking back an offer from Barrossa for $600 a game

Adam Rowlett and Paul Lowe.

what happened with this one???
saw lowe drinking with payneham boys last friday night did they make the shift??

Have heard Brian McGowan will be playing for the eagles this year. Wouldn't be cheap to get him out of retirement as he did play at the top level

Any early predictions for 2012???? Any vast improvements going on Meadows late form I would say there would be top 4 or 3 this year.
Any confirmed Clearances gone through? or does that all not happen until Feb as per last year?
Are they going ahead with the Night Games again? If so who was invited this year as last year it was invite only!

Another instalment in the crazy Callington story. Plenty of money there apparently. Have heard several tales of $ being offered to mediocre and unreliable players. Seems no-one does any homework there and hasn't for years, otherwise these repeated debacles wouldn't keep happening.
Older, wiser and been there. But still love that grassroots country footy.
