Why dont they just join the C grade comp already. How many Juinor Teams will they be fielding this year? Teams are actually loosing money due to this, it cost a fair bit to get a Game day organised and no one is showing up to watch a Callington game.... why would you want too?
Callington have confirmed 10-12 players for season 2012 (total).
They have no juniors.
Spineless of the league administration not to sacrifice one for the betterment of the rest of your league, why are clubs paying fees for administration and management if this is exactly what is NOT happening.
I take it on good advice that unless severely pressured that the hills gumbits will allow callington until game time on round one to pull the pin... this is possibly a by-law![]()
Meantime whoever plays them in the first few rounds is left to reshuffle any plans, miss out on income for an unplanned forfeit all while the rest of the South Australian Football community sit back and collectively laugh our arses off.
All this happening while the league continues to place bandaid solutions over the nature and make up of the senior colts debacle which in 2012 is apparently going to be splitting clubs up and have them travelling to different parts of the country side! Can someone from this association confirm this is the case?
For the remaining clubs sake I hope that Callington do the right thing and pull the pin sooner than later and place their side in the C'Grade until they can re-build correctly.
AND NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO the answer is NOT in providing Callington with mroe points to recruit players as they have recently applied for.
i hope it can get all sorted out, you dont want to see clubs die off.
