I cannot believe (if true) that a club would whinge to a league about a team being too good. That is disgraceful. I've been on the receiving end of some beltings but never thought to BLAME someone else for them. Embarassing at its utmost.

FACTS again.....
If you look at the Team Sheet - They are pulled from the HFL Website - So it is the HFL's issue not Echunga's.
Another one for you - 2 Colts played on the weekend so would that make it -2 points????

Also going on your logic these two players make up for the 21 Goal Thumping????? I must have missed their names with 10 Goals each next to them!!!!

There is a strong rumor going around that the SAAFL stuffed up Kilburn's allocated points and they have been in fact playing well over their allocated allotment. Perhaps that was what Kangarilla were suggesting about Echunga? Have the HFL incorrectly ruled on the Echunga players and in fact they are playing over their allotment?

Was it a Kangarilla 'official' or just a random person with affiliations to the club?

I would be disappointed if it was an official as I played there a few years back & love the club & would hope that they just got on with things rather than make excuses for defeats etc. Its an unfortunate fact that Country Footy is all about $$$$ these days, rather than representing your local club/town, enjoying the sport with your mates etc. Oh well, nevermind!

Interestingly, P32, a former Blue Devil teammate of yours played a fair bit of footy for Kangy in the past! ;)

Interesting to see what the points allocation for Harland and Brackin have been recorded as. Saw them play in a trial against Tailem and both are high quality. As they played in the Division 1 of the Sydney AFL competition in 2011 they are 2 point players and it as actually Echunga's responsibility to nominate this when clearances are submitted. I would be very suprised if Echunga have tried to trick the Hills League into a lower points allocation.

No tricks we're played by Echunga or the hfl; it was an error by the league. Regardless Echunga have been playing below their points week in week out, quality line up with plenty of depth but at the end of the day poor form by whinging bitches at kangy and the anonymous caller must've been a club insider or they would've known what they were moaning about.
I find it difficult to understand why on one hand the demons predomintely are all locals but on the other they're accused of buying up....?

No Harland or Bracken on yesterday's team sheet, and they just got up over Meadows by 25 goals. Maybe they are just too good across the board...

Really?? For two umpines I really don't like at all and have seen some of the worst umiring by the two of them, I actually thought they weren't too bad yesterday. They were very whistle happy but thought they were consistent with that for the whole game for both sides.
The umpiring was 100% better than last week in our game against Meadows.....that's for certain.

Credit to Kersbrook, they stepped up in the last qtr and kicked 8 gls to win the game. Also credit to our boys who a lot of us thought we didn't have a chance going into the game but I think they showed that we should still be around the mark come finals times if we can pay footy like we did in the first 3 qtrs.

Echunga must have known these 2 players were two pointers so if they did not declare this then they should be penalized. If they asked the league for clarification and was feed the wrong information then the league needs to smarten up, but the guide lines are pretty easy to follow and ultimately it is the clubs responsibility to get it right. If we want a closer competition maybe the whole points system needs addressing?

If that bloke was the Umpiring coach then what hope is there?? He seemed from the outset to have an issue with not being the biggest name on the field and went about making stupid decisions just to bring himself into it. Since when is a player not allowed to question (without abusing) a dodgy decision - and there were plenty. Every umpire has faults, as does players but there was no consistency and when an ump starts making calls not out of fairness but out of spite then he is in the wrong role. Let the game go. Take nothing away from Birdwood, for 3 qtrs they worked harder and were the better side but 4 goals from 50m or 50/50 decisions hurts a bit in a close game. Free kick count would be an interesting one to see.

The impact umpire needs to be shared amongst all teams that is why you get aome of the lesser umpires occasionally.
For every one I miss I am closer to a hole in one.

Footy is an emotional game, and I can understand umpires paying 50s for a mouthful of abuse, but to pay them for just questioning the decision is a disgrace. Tell the umps in question to eat some concrete for breakfast and harden the
