If it happens within a game, then by all means that player has every right to be paid. I was talking about not playing yet still getting payed. As I stated, I was unsure of the wording of BBK's post. I couldn't agree more with

Yep, fair enough, valid point and I agree re injured players (not within game play) not being paid. Myself,
I have not heard of any player receiving 'injury payments' and it would be a sad day in country football if that were to eventuate.
Unfortunately its just a matter of time before this happens. I can just see it now, your own club and another club are fighting for the services of a gun player, both clubs have already offered say 2k a game plus sign on fees that are equal, so what will get that player over the line to play for your club??
Fairly obvious that a guarenteed pay packet regardless if he's injured or not will get the deal done
