as a opposition player getting to play against a player such as elijah is a exciting and obviously challenging prospect but in all honesty why would someone of that caliber want to play in a pretty average div 2 hills comp? also why is a team such as echunga thats already travelling more than well this season chasing a player of that quality? such teams as meadows, nairne and even macclesfield have show excellent signs of improvement this season making for some exciting footy and a more even spread of teams. yes im having a whinge because we have a competion being dominated by the same old clubs. wheres the good in that????

Why is a team such as Echunga chasing a player of that quality? Not a real smart question that one. All clubs would love to have a player with the accolades Ware has, so why wouldn't they? I haven't seen any hills footy this year, as I'm living over seas, but looking at the results and weekly team sheets, has Meadows and Nairne improved that much? Birdwood have lost around 8 players that I can tell, Kersbrook are getting a little older and slower, and Echunga has pretty much lost its backline, as well as all its depth losing a huge number of players.
At the end of the day, every club needs success, and you go about getting that success through the laws of the game, no problems chasing any big name player as far as I'm concerned.

Think you will find Elijah has gone to Echunga as he has a mate or mates there, to play the year out after things not working out at his old club, good luck to him, he's a top bloke and shouldn't have any problems fitting in. Seems as though he will be a real chance of playing in yet another premiership this year.

Ware would want to improve his performance because his output for Meningie was simply dismal. I believe they would be relieved to have moved him on.

Marc Cox out, Elijah Ware in. One Footy Mercenary for another. Cry, Cry, Cry for more points and they got them. Yep they're struggling undefeated at the top of the ladder. Whoever from Echunga sold that sob story to the HFL is a genius, or is the HFL just gullible.

Maccy by 14 plus over Birdwood does any one know the story?
Do Birdwood have a truck load of injuries or players left the club?

Bit of both Old Cock.... lost 9 A graders from last years team and then had 7 out of this years team on Saturday and then had Simon Muster go down early in the game..... A rebuilding time at the Roosters this year with lots of young kids getting a crack.

Thanks Tanka dont support either club but thought the result a big surprise.
Will Birdwood still make the 5?

In fact opinions from any poster as to what the table will read at the end of the minor round welcome.

So the brooks and demons are going top guns as usual, who else would be in the mix for a crack at the flag? I haven't been able to get to many games this season and have only seen a few results in the paper and not too much talk on here...
Interesting to see Nairne having a good win away to Birdwood on the weekend too! And meadows playing some good footy which is great for the comp.

Nairne are a definite chance to challenge Echunga & Kersbrook. Birdwood are off the pace at the moment but would not write them off just yet & Meadows are improving. Can't see the winner coming outside of this lot. My 2 cents

Yeah I saw that, just find it surprising that a guy who has put a clearance in on the 13/5, played in the ressies on the 18/5. If I wanted out of a club, or wanted to go else where, I probably wouldn't be playing. Just seems a bit strange??

Coxy wants out cos Echunga aren't paying him properly. Playing him in the B grade now to. Virginia were going to draft him in but have pulled out. Expect the man to find a new club soon.

Hahahahhah Coxy you're not getting paid at all! You went to the demons after another contract signing frenzy on the eve of round 1 by the looks of it.
Not sure how many blokes return straight back into any senior side after three weeks off, not training and having signed a clearance to another club! albeit while the senior side hasn't missed a beat.

In light of all the Echunga talk I think there's been something missing... They're not the reigning premiers and its beginning to look a lot like another 2012 and we all seen what happened then...
