Yep, 'tis a joke indeed. Since when have clubs been allowed to deal with misdemeanors 'in house'? I haven't seen Cally play for weeks and know nothing about the goings-on there. Did they play a suspended player or didn't they? If they did, there's a cut and dried penalty for that. Does anyone know the details and who is coaching now?

Dont take what I said as absolute gospel. I heard this second hand but it was from a Callington A grader so there must be something in it

1250 Express You are a disgrace..... there was malice in that tackle here is what truly happened and the boy that done that to Clint Guy should go for a long time if the HFL do their job and protect young players coming through.

The Kangy player pined Guys arms (Guy had lost the ball), The Coaching staff the yell "Dump Him Dump Him Dump Him. To which the player turned Guy upside down and rammed him into the ground head first, Snapping his neck back. One of the most disgusting things anyone has seen in football in a long time at Echunga. It was deliberate and he meant to do it, as the coach was to add after you didn't do your job good enough there was no stretcher. Luckly enough Guy was not hurt. The umpire gave the Kangy Guy a yellow card and sent him off (when asked why he did not report him for the incident the response was - " I was blind sided and didn't see anything" - to which ask the question well why the yellow card? - this umpire was a disgrace all day and I will admit he was the one there when cranna hit your player – but he did hit cranna first) But luckily there was an official on the side lines who has reported and the club has put in the report as well.

To say this is an accident and was the first time well no.... for all the words around Stringer must have taken the kangy boys to Spear tackling school, First it was Meadows and then it was Maccy where one player is out for the season. If they continue to do this someone will get seriously hurt. If a man that thinks its ok to pick up a kid and dump him on his neck then he is a moron and should go for the rest of the year. If it was NRL he would be out for 14 + weeks the way he tackled.

Thats what really happened.

i would have to agree sorce. It was a crude tackle and i thought Cranna was a great example he was basically the only demon who stood up for clint and gave the Kangy bloke a bit of stick which he definately deserved.

The Echunga incident was not a good one for what was a genuinely tough and good game of football. however if you guys seriously think Wayne would instruct us to spear tackle, you have got to be in some sort of fantasy land. Wayne instructs us to be strong around the footy and to tackle hard, but fair. As for the player who committed the tackle, he could not be more remorseful, he honestly thought the player still had the ball, (which is not excuse) but the tackle in his mind just got away from him, there is no doubt he will serve weeks, but the precedent that the HFL has set in previous years says that he should n't get to many.

on the issue of the meadows and maccy incidents, played in both games and have to say, both tacklers completed fair tackles, just unfortunate that the fellas got turned the wrong way and landed in an alkward position. and the tacklers were two of the fairest competitors in country football.

Im not condoning what happened, but im sick of people making accusations against the club im passionate about when alot of them are going of rumors and a genuine dislike of our club, butr i guess a successful club is always going to be attempted to be brought down by people swimming in mediocrity.

i thought this forum was for talking about the things that are happening in our league... and rumours happen to be apart of that EB Pie. It just seems a little bit of a coincidence that almost every club you play against has complaints about the way you spanners tackle, not just the MEDIOCRE clubs as you call them.... By the way i think your run at the top is about to end cos these so called "MEDIOCRE" clubs are really starting to push you southern league rejects! whoops did i say that out loud... i have mates that play for kangys.. so i dont hate the club, just dont like the way your coach goes about his business, heard a rumour some of your big name players dont either............. GO THE RAMS!!!!!!!

Think you'll find Gums could be interested in merging with anyone?? Any takers Rooster??

And reckon Pollock signed with Kersbrook to perhaps prolong his SANFL career. i.e. Ex Norwood Legend Coaching and his brother is a North Adelaide Assistant. If he gets good feedback from them, it certainly wouldn't hurt a his status as a SANFL footballer.
