Just a quick note to let anyone who has played with or against the great "Cod" Neave that im led to believe this weekendv or the following one will be his 500th Club game for the panthers!!! He brought up his 500th association game last year and is a great achievement for a true local legend!!! A remarkable achievment considering for numerous years where the competition has only played a 12 game season. All the best champ.

I remember him kicking bags of Daicos style goals at full forward during the "glory years". I used to run around the back yard trying to pull off a cod snap from the impossible angle. The rumour has it he has only missed handful of games ... and those being through car accidents not the usual two week hammy. No need to worry bout soft tissue injuries for the COD. Unfortunately for him the game was played on a Sunday so most of his supporters had to leave fairly early even though I'm sure he would have kicked on with it.

An amazing effort though considering there's only about 15 games played a year prior to finals.
