SFL haven't had a Sunday comp in the last 2 seasons and in 2019 there was one age group with 3 teams - why is there demand now?

Entire SFL will be dead in 3 years IMO

At least all SFL sides field 5 games every Saturday with ALL clubs fielding junior sides and the Mini Sunday program is outstanding comp with a full day including C grade and women .

What happens when Flagstaff Hill leave which feels like a matter of when not if. Great you have strong numbers but youll be down to 6 or 7 teams soon. Or when the long rumoured super league starts?

Not having a crack but the writing is on the wall.

You guys were definitely moving to the HFL a couple of years ago, apparently.
Like the old annual Blackwood to SFL rumour, which has now turned into Blackwood to AdFL definitely, apparently. :D

With Round 1 only a month or so away.... not a lot going on in the Country Division.

Any teams have trial games coming up? Any new recruits/bit outs?

Exactly what I was thinking. They're not all A graders coming on board. I know Brendan Smart has been playing B's for Hahndorf for a few years but will go alright there.

Pretty sure they'd be waiting on how many Div 1 Clubs can submit a second team into Div 2 to join Meadows, TV, Kersbrook and Birdwood.

What grades are those clubs likely to have? TV seem to be having a go at building their club up from the bottom again, but that is obviously going to take a long time. No juniors for Gum or Maccy?

Not a great subject, but for Cougar or anyone else with a long history in Div 2 footy, when was the last time Kersbrook, save their Div 1 days, were so uncompetitive?
Obviously they've had some changes over the summer, but they don't seem like a team that will just miss the finals, which is usually as bad as it gets for them.

Not sure the last time but I similar thoughts to you when I saw the ladder on Monday morning. Just looks weird seeing them so far down the table.

Can’t remember Kersbrook ever missing finals in the time I’ve followed Country Division.

IIRC they did in 2004, and may have in 2000?
