The Raiders came from behind to win by a kick. Great to see a club that has struggled for a long time win a flag. Vaughn (blast from the past) would be happy man. 8)

Birdwood won the Bs.

Bloody fantastic day at Birdwood yesterday. Oval held up well considering the amount of rain that fell. Great games, great atmosphere

Bet the Birdwood boys are still going on their home deck!

Wade Hancock... What a spud.

Hadn't been to a HFL Grand Final until yesterday and that was an absolute cracker. Bad luck to Nairne, but once the Raiders got a sniff they were brilliant. The game winning shot on goal was an absolute pearler from the tight angle too.

Great day at Birdwood, well done to all their volunteers who made it happen. Loved the enormous crowd.

Gets a red card after the final siren for swearing and yelling at umpires, says he doesn't care because he isn't playing at Nairne next year and whacks the red card out of the umps hands! Pretty sure you'll be spending a large amount of next year on the sideline mate

Wow..really? Didn't see any of this, was too busy in a group hug with hundreds of other Raider players, supporters and members at the time.

One of the best grand finals I've seen in country division in a long time! What a finish, Bridgey dug in and clawed their way back. Congratulations to them and breaking their premiership drought.

Didn't see the incident with Hancock but he had a horrible day!

Didn't a guy from Kangarilla get 16 weeks for the same thing a couple years ago?

Is 16 weeks still a life ban?

Does anyone know if the Nairne player has actually been reported for slapping the card out of the umpires hand?

Have heard for abuse and the card slapping. He'll get a long holiday that for sure and not sure his record is that great either. Might not be just finished at Nairne......he can possibly concentrate on his Kyani sales now.

He abused the Umps after a big mark to Stuey Bown near the end of the game and was asked to calm down....he then reiterated his comments further and was shown a Red card right on the final siren. As stated the card was then slapped out of the Umps hand

I was speaking to an Ex Nairne player earlier this week who said that he doesn't have a good record with the umps. served a few weeks on the side lines last year for trying to get nasty with one half way through game.
If he went at the footy like he did at the umps he'd be an outstanding footballer from what i've seen of him.
Do the HFL have a harsher penalty's in GF's like some other leagues? Either way i think My Hancock may of played his last game of football which is a shame.
I hope he has better luck climbing the Pyramid
