The team that beat them 2 out of 3 times and at full strength on a dry day is the best team, being gumeracha. On a wet day Kangys will win as they did last week. Ironbank are an outside chance and meadows will have a crack but probably aren't the quality of the top 2.

IIRC they did in 2004, and may have in 2000?

Correct 2000 and 2004 Kersbrook missed out on the major round and can add 2022 to it.
However this would be the first year since 1992 that the Brookers L column is greater than the W
Pretty tight comp again though Hills Country. Little between 1st to 7th and last couple of years most even I've seen it.

Gums on a dry deck just a bit to quick and skilful. Boggy oval at birdwood will help them next week in preliminary final due to there size. Ressies should be ironbank v kangy again in 2 weeks, too most skilful sides but meadows bigger bodies will suit birdwood if they get through tomorrow.

Good game at Gum today, Meadows taking advantage of the wind dropping away in the last quarter and ran over Ironbank to progress

What is wrong with the Kangarilla FC? Don't they like finals? Deja vu for them?

Two straight top place finishes and two straight years going out in straight sets. Brutal loss. Gums to win the flag next week and Ironbank to win there first B grade flag in 20 plus years.

Seems to be a bit of angst surrounding the under 14 comp with Hahndorf playing allegedly 10 players in both their div 1 and the div 2 side. Including some players who arent really locals who only played the absolute minimum games.

Legal? Looks like it.

In the spirit of the game? Well that could be one to argue.

Yeah saw something about that. Some of the kids played at Uraidla then drove to Birdwood and played that game even though they had enough to end up with 7 on the bench (apparently. I wasn't there so have no idea) did also see that some of them may be from down town. As you say probably didn't break any rules but might not be in the spirit of it.

Was a great finish if anyone's seen the video. It wasn't the hardiest shot ever but when it's after the siren to get into a grand final it was really clutch to nail that goal.

Have heard this as well. Hahndorf certainly not endorsing itself within the Country Div Clubs or the HFL. 10 kids doubling up on Saturdays to make sure their junior teams win finals..... stacking is what you usually see for the lower levels of the SAAFL come finals time not for junior footy.

Gums to win the ones come Saturday with one of the Hanna boys BOG. Kangarilla for the twos.

If the same rules apply as years ago, Div 1 teams at beginning of season had to nominate players to play in the Country comp. They couldnt stack players from a Div 1 comp just in the finals. A close look at team sheets throughout the year should show this? they finished 2nd on the ladder so to have 1 v 2 in the Grand Final is probably about right. If it was an issue other clubs would have made the point during the season surely not just Grand Final eve. Doesnt look like they will beat Kersbrook who have been the stand out U14 team.

Its easy in hindsight but not sure how Kangies didn't have extra numbers outside 50 when Meadows dumped kicked it from defence, it was all one on ones and Meadows won them, defender got sucked to the contest and didn't impact which left the kicker out the back and able to hit the FF - a lot had to go right, and it did.
