Did any of the new blokes from Gaza play for Bordertown on the weekend? If so how"d they go?

The big ruckman Kerr was too big and strong for Borders. George McWaters is not a slouch in the ruck but Kerr was pushing him aside (McWaters did slip forward and kick three). Stephens didn't do that much.

Real good pickup for Bordertown looks to be Nick Hewett from Broughton/Mundoora. Nullified Clint Barras pretty well and provided a lot of drive from defence.

Kingston and Lucindale draw... didn't tip that one. Thought Kingston were going to be a bit too strong.

For the first time in a few years Border Districts won the ressies and A's comfortably yesterday. Both 90 point winners against Kingston.

Clint Barras slotted a cheeky 12 in the A grade - sensational effort from probably one of the best small forwards in country footy in the state.

Nailbiter at Padthaway yesterday. Borders kicked the last goal of the game and held on to win by four points. Stu Ferenci best on, kicked the winner - one of four for the big boy - and was taking some big grabs around the ground.

And he let the paddy boys know it after the siren. Bit of a mouth on him.

Has bit of a history of having plenty to say after the final siren. Not the first time and won't be the last! I'd reckon the opposition will remember things like that for next time they play.

Guess you'd expect a player that's getting 1500 big ones a game to kick the winner if has ball in hand.

Ferenci earnt his pay with that performance - Padthaway have beaten Borders something like five times in the past two years including an elimination final and he dragged them over the line (with help from a certain small forward who kicked 6 - making it 7, 12, 6 in his past three games).

Really good game though, both sides very similar in that they are small-town clubs spending money to try and be competitive.

Fantastic game of football at Mundulla on Saturday. Mundulla right in game up to 3/4 time then looked like they ran out of legs in the last quarter.
Bordertown have some real gun on ballers. Stephens and Clint Diment played fantastic games and their second half was worth watching . the way both of them ran with the footy and broke the lines was great footy. The second quarter did get a bit fiesty with a few cheap late hits by both clubs but especially bordertown.
Free kicks paid by umpires and spoke to player after the hit no yellow cards just good contol and things settle pretty quickly afte that. Both clubs will be right in the mix come the end of season

Border Districts jekyll and hyde act continues.

Belted by Kyby one week to the tune of 90 odd points. Kyby were below them on the ladder, still are.

Then Borders come out and beat Mundulla, who are pushing to be top three.

The one thing I took out of yesterday's Border Districts vs Kingston match is Brad Vallance is possibly the most talented country footballer I have ever seen play. And I've been around quite a while.

Comes back after a month off through injury, plays solely out of full forward to ease his way back in and kicks 12. This is playing for Borders whose midfield delivery at times ranges from "bomb it long on top of the forward's head" to "bomb it long to nobody".

Kicked GOTY for his 10th too, right foot over right shoulder.

Read in the herald today Padthaway have sacked Tim Leehane with 3 games to go in the season. Padthaway were talked up as top 3 and won't play finals. Looka like schimma has taken the rap. George Verco to be caretaker coach

Wow pretty quiet on here for the KNTFL
Fantastic game of footy on Sunday at Naracoorte.
Oval was in great nic congrats to the club
Mundulla just too strong accross the middle, McGrice what an absolute star and
Thorpe was just like a 22 year old controlling the backlines.
Naracoorte seemed to have no forwards at all- really struggled up there.
Sad end to the year for Naracoorte

Well this thread is awefully quiet.
Disappointing day for the Roosters on Saturday at Padthaway
Both under 17's and A grade go out in Straight sets. both Premiers last year - 12 months is a long time in footy.
Kingston were awesome in the under 17's played with plenty of heart and really played great team footy - all the best in the GF
The A Grade was also a great game both sides giving their everything.
Penola would definitely be favourites this week, they were fantastic the week before.
Great game in the B Grade Saturday - penola got the first 6 goals before Mundulla kicked one
then Mundulla had a shot after the siren to win but unfortunately for them it just missed and the tiges lose by 1 point.
Have really enjoyed the footy in the KNTFL this year a very well run league
Hopefully see you at the GF at Lucindale
