Can't believe they beat the Suparoos in the last round!

Good comp actually this year...Karoonda looked the team to beat early, in past couple of weeks Lameroo gone top, then this week BDT knocked them off to go top. Karoonda are now third. Gonna be an interesting last part of the season.

I've heard a "rumour" that Justin Maloney is leaving Karoonda to meet up with ex Mannum playing mates at Ramblers.

Any confirmation?

Rumour has it Peake have picked up 2 adelaide players. Both wont play until late in the season as one onballer is coming back from a knee reco and the other wouldnt last a whole season (a back flanker or back pocket). Apparently the back pocket can run like a greyhound....

Peake legend Jamie Downs to make a comeback this year back home.....biggest signing for the club in years!! I think Rodney Maynard will make Downs look young...he has copped his fair share of injuries over the years. Still has greyhound like pace though..... Watch out MFL!!!

Jamie Downs has had a shocking career with injuries.

When Peake won the Wunkar Carnival a few years back, Jamie made a guest appearance and just his presence was an inspiration to his team mates in particular his under performing brother, plus his six goals in game one.

If you remember back to the early 90's when he was progressing through Westies junior ranks he was the captain and the Roo was his vice captain.

I am sure his dash from the back pocket will inspire the Peake boys this year!!! Can only kick over a jam tin now but will inspire the boys with his greyhound like pace bursting out of defence.

Not sure where flying fox is getting his mail from- I have never known Downs to play in the back lines- surely at his age- I don't think he has played for a few years- he would play forward- he would certainly be worth a couple of goals a game to Peake?? Not sure also about the greyhound reference either, I have heard that he has bulked up a bit since he stopped playing.
Supa veteran a bit tough on his brother as underperforming- Peake haven't been a great team over the years, and I do remember he kicked 10 in an interleague game one year
