Since the release of 'Encyclopedia of South Australian Country Football Clubs', I have received many letters, phone calls and emails congratulating me on the completion and success of my book.

I thought that through the SA Footy Forum I would thank everyone for their kind words and hope that they continue to enjoy the book.

I would also like to share with SAFooty Forum readers extracts from some of the messages that I have received-:

I had wondered at the claim - "every" country club/team... but it appears you've done pretty well on that score.

Lionel Rohrlach, Maryborough Queensland.

I appreciate your efforts to make such a book available to the public.

Mark Smith, Echunga

I can only begin to imagine how many hours of research it took compiling all the information. Anyway, you're to be greatly commended, and I'm sure it's a resource I'll come back to repeatedly.

John Devaney, United Kingdom.

Your book is excellent.

Andrew Buckham, Wudinna.

She's a good read too! Found the teams that I have played for and read up on them a little.

Kym Scott, Loxton North.

My husband enjoys picking up your book and browsing through it!

Kathryn Mules, Kalangadoo.

Congrats on the completion of your book, it is a credit to your years of hard work and research. I think it is great and have not put it down since getting it. Where did you find all of the newspaper articles? it is a excellent choice to design the cover in that way.

Nathan Klingberg, Banksia Park.

I wanted to let you know that I have your book and am loving browsing through it. What a colossal amount of work you must have done to have recorded the grand final details of so many clubs across the state. It's an awesome undertaking and you have created an invaluable document on the history of SA country footy.

I find it fascinating reading about some of the little clubs that existed in far off corners of the state and was amazed at some of the little places that were able to field football teams all those years ago.

Well done - it's a great work.

Max Sayer, Wynn Vale.

Bloody hell mate, there has been a fair effort put into this. Next time I come your way I am going to have to buy you a beer to help you recover. I love the little data boxes with the rankings showing highest scores etc.

Congratulations.

Gerry Loots, Willunga.

What a great gift to country footy.

Jan Trengove, Spalding.

What can I say but a superb effort, well done. It has given me a lot of pleasure going through the finals statistics of the various country football clubs. Your book I'm sure will become the bible for all us country football fans for years to come.

Phillip Wood, Terowie.

Received your book on Monday.  It looks fantastic.  Very informative, a job well done.

Gerry Burns, Mount Barker.

Excellent records with many hours of research, well done.

Ron Palm, Mannum.

A lot of our members are very keen to have a look at this book, we have a strong base of supporters and older players who are interested in club histories. I am sure we will enjoy many Thursday nights after we have ' picked the team to bits' discussing what you have come up with.

Graeme Sinclair, Hahndorf

'Encyclopedia of South Australian Football Clubs', its title and of course the contents, certainly should arouse great interest. Congratultions.

David Dunhill, Renmark.

Hope all your efforts end up successful and you have good sales after all that hard work.

Kenneth Donne, Port Noarlunga.

Congratulations on completing and publishing your book on country football clubs. It is always exciting to finally see the printed article. You certainly have collected quite a lot of information covering 987 different clubs.

Anne Hausler, Lyndoch.

I am sure it will be a great Christmas present for my husband.

Jackie Harrop, Paskeville.

You have done a wonderful job – my husband read it and really enjoyed it. I can see it will be a great resource for historians and researchers in the future.
Allison Thomas, Riverton.
