Boys looks like United are picking up quality left right and centre.
Chrissy Clyun can play but will probably only play half a year, especially if they are loosing. He is notorious for disappearing.

Chris Calyun has been with United for a few season's now, i think this may be his third season? he will be no surprise to APFL supporters, he represented the League in 2005.

Was talk that his services were be being sought after by a few clubs! just rumours though.

It would be disappointing to do your hamstring at this time of year! Che must have some Scar tissue or something, you wouldn't have thought he would have fitness problems!!

heard a rumour that Hayden Skipworth will be at Hummocks this year!!

It is a load of Rubbish, he has gone to Bendigo to play, you would think if the crows didn't want him he could get a game at WWT.

Saw HWE play on the weekend against Flinders Park (D3). No official scoreboard but they lost B's comfortably but won A's by about 8 goals. Looked in good nick as they usually are at this time of the year.
Definately no Skippy - in actual fact they haven't recruited anyone. Effectively the same side as last year - no Tim Trussell but get Amos Wilson back. Derek Barr who was meant to be back has now shifted to WA.

Honestly i thought Two Wells gave a prety good account of themselves considering 5 of their A-Grade were missing and they ran with a lot of under 17's. Apparently they played Riverton on the weekend and got squashed as well.

A couple of the Two wells guys i spoke with were pretty happy with some aspects of the game. some Players had their first hit out due to cricket and Injuries.

What was dissapointing was South Gawler's side. for a BLG side they looked really average. Coombes in the middle is handy, Lee Makris was left unchecked as was Andrew Bevis, but the rest of them were forgetable.

It's going to be a long season for the lions if thats the best they've got.

I don't anything about Two Wells, but I know that South's team that played in the second half, the 'A' grade side, was a mix of A and B graders. They didn't play at full strength and they'll still be around the mark in BL&G.

Sorry mate, when I say around the mark, I meant they'll be competitive. Don't think they'll be up the top with Freeling or Barossa.

Any news on Balak or Mallala. See Wehr has hung up the boots by the sounds. Would have been good to see him as a 23 year old running around reckon he would have been a gun back in the day.

Gary Wehr has moved over to WA i don't know if he's hung up the boots however, But the inclusion of a few classy imports Balak will be around the mark again specially if that big unit Walker carve's up like he did last year.

Malalla have regained the services of Jason Earl again from the WWT eagles, he certainly gives the pies another midfielder with a fair bit of nouse. certainly be handy anyway. Bluey Mcmillan has swapped guernsey's and is now a pecker, look for the magpies to make life tough for bluey in their first hitout against Balak.

Does anyone know if the rumour that Andy Michael has finally hung up his boots is true?

How's Brendan Watts looking for this season?
The big fella looked like he had a few seasons left in him when I last saw him.

Yeah, rumour has it that Andy has Retired, the young blokes from the plains will be walking a litlle bit taller now that one A.Michael isn't pinging off blokes,

i heard last week at the Two Wells trial match that they have a set plan if Cockatoo-Collins plays up forward, don't want to give away their secret but it sounds like a couple of roosters might stick closely to the former Power player.

Wattsy didn't play the Trial the other day and i didn't think to ask why not, i'd assume he'd play, this week will give us the answers though, he certainly isn't getting any younger.

i'll be at Two Wells this Weekend for a look at the clash between the Roosters and Tigers, it ought to be a ripper, if anyone isn't playing this weekend they should wander out there and join in me for steak sangers, the smell of cut grass and a pale ale or eight, that's if i can get out of goal umpiring the juniors, god bless em.
