Anyone know of when the Association squad will be announce?

I'm not certain, but given the carnival is 3 weeks away and the squad usually trains in the two weeks prior, I'm guessing those that made the squad will be notified in the coming week.

Do players at Virginia get paid for playing in the magoos? My mate got dropped and he thought he'd be a permanent fixture on the ones.

If he thought that he should be playing then I am sure they'll pay him .....

You heard right, Whitwell did give up the u17s gig...... he is now the coach of the A grade side.

Did I hear right that there is a new rule around players being forced (or be suspended for the following club match) to make themselves available for association football this season if selected in the initial squad? Its only a matter of time before that discussion cranks up again on here.

well my informant didn't tell me that he gave it up for the A grade gig any who good luck to the bloke, wonder if he will be as lenient to players RE: availability as he has played a few association games and knows full well what has happened in previous years!!!!!

Obviously the squad might be bigger, but good representation by most clubs.

Tried to avoid just loading up on good midfielders playing out of position

Thoughts???

I doubt Big Nik will play. Solly in.

Big Nik didnt want to play last year as was evident by his demeanor and body language, i have a feeling if selected he will play as i believe the coach has a rule that if a player is selected they MUST play so the said player doesn't miss any vital games that may come the week after the association, after all last year Big Nik was picked up at the airport by the virginia coach and rushed to the game

If he is over 28 then he can pull out without penalty.

Amazing turnaround by Mallala on Saturday. Not many would have backed them in on recent form but heck, vital win.

Without trying to re-ignite the whole Drainer incident again, but can someone answer if his 'internal' two week suspension is concurrent with his three week tribunal suspension or to be served after?

All the Salisbury North Folk clearing out then? Or causing more drama than their worth on the Footy Field?

Whats the point of making it concurrent? I think you'll find he'll miss a total of 5 matches, 3 from the APFL tribunal and 2 from UFC. I thought it was well handled by United.

Drainer was suspended by the tribunal for 3 weeks. He has served 2 and has 1 to go. Will be playing next week barring an injury at training I would imagine.
So to answer the question it is concurrent.

Not sure what Robb Straks issue is, every comment seems to be negative towards us, pretty certain she/he has no idea where Long Plains is.

Was a good game against Hamley on the weekend, we got to within a couple of points during the last quarter, then they kicked away at the end unfortunately. We just never seemed to be able to control their midfielders drifting forward. They were very good at kicking goals from stoppages in their forward half.
