Karoonda 2009

Postby Trix » Mon Nov 17, 2008 8:57 pm

Just been reading the Corey Smelt topic...Sounds like BIG Corey is putting together a pretty handy outfit for 2009 if you believe the rumour mill!

What are people's thoughts on how the magpies will go next season? Have they confirmed any of the names that people are throwing around??

Did Muffy turn up on Sunday?
The locals are pretty excited about him possibly playing.

yeah but half the players at the meet the coach day are already comitted to other clubs and only went up there to say gday to the smelt. so far there's only three definites both jacksons and barrat from kangarilla. he's going to need more than an over the hill midfielder, a good b grader and an aging CHF to get anywhere....

Dunno about that. If he got them three that would make them twice as good as last year.

jacko find shitloads of the footy, porno hits it hard, kicks goals and can play most positions and barret is a freight train from hell who can kick goals from anywhere and mobile for a big guy

will be missed in kangarilla colours and key passengers for the smelt express!!!!!

obviously you havent seen them play dentist.
the over the hill midfielder was the leading stat getter at kangarilla last year.i think he managed 32 poss per game. consistently polling well in the m/m for his club in hills and southern 3rd in the b/f and hes only 28.(not that old ) his best football years are still a head of him.so if your pissed he left dont bag him on here im sure he would have a beer with you at the pub and maybe you could voice your opinion to him there.
in my book not a bad effort considering his opposition
and if he could do that again next year ithink he will be an asset don't you?

jacko can definitely play and i agree he looks 10 years older than he actually is! although you do talk him up like your related to him! i would think he will need some help through the midfield so would be a huge bonus if they get Hayden Thorpe signed on! They might have to let Kangarilla life members into the ground for free as they could be forgiven for turning up at the wrong ground!!!

sounds like barrat will be a handy acquisition, apparently he missed a fair chunk of the year with kangy early on. young jacko is underrated, he will do well under a positive coach that gives him a regular crack in the a-grade.

Very True Trix..
Itll be an interesting decision if Haydon Thorpe was to leave, Kangy will everything in their power to keep him there and for obvious reasons, hes a great ball handler..
