Seems a quality player.
His wife is a teacher at a local school and she coaches Loxton in netball.
Not sure whether he'll still be with Loxton next season - but has been a handy pick-up.

Ok do you think he will go back to Northern Areas?

What are you talking about Dogwatcher, Doug Hall never get's excited.

I heard about you Moorook guy's forming a guard of honour for Rudi after the game, well done I am told it was greatly appreciated and one tough old Bulldog told me the emotion of the moment would have brought a tear to a glass eye.

However only a bloke like Rudi earns that sort of respect.

The guard was Tom Graetz's idea - which I think says a lot about the man.

But Rudes is a genuine legend of Riverland football - he'll never be named alongside Leon Fielke, Craig Griffiths or Craig Wooldridge. But his nature, skills and demeanour make him one of the 'greats' in my eyes.

I'm thinking about writing a little piece about that game - as there was a lot of theatre, and those who enjoy grassroots footy would probably enjoy hearing what happened on the day.

The question is - has he genuinely retired this time?????

He say's he has retired and that he couldn't play again because all of the fuss that was made on Saturday. The test will be when all the recruits come in next year and the rumour is that wife Steph has said he can have one more year before they start building out on the farm.

I guessed it would have been Tom's idea with the guard of honour, their history goes back to the very early 90's. If Tom wasn't chaired off as well does that mean he is going again next year.

And when did Leon Fielke become a legend in Riverland Football.

Have noticed that a former Goody Saintys player Peter Safralidis is in the best each week for Berri? Are Berri that bad and whats your thoughts on how Saf has gone, is a chance of the medal?

At this stage Berri are very bad. Butttttt their best must be pretty good - as their sole win was against the reigning premiers Waikerie.
Saf and Michael Hare (formerly Bays) will share the votes at the Whillas.
Saf's been fairly consistent by all accounts. But if hare hadn't had injury issues for much of the season - I would have thought he was a shoe in for the medal.

Moorook's form turnaround and consequent win run's a very close second as upset of the year to Western United's grand final win over Koonibba on Saturday at Ceduna. Good luck against the Swannies.

Nothing I could do compares to anything Tilly and Sumner can do - those blokes are freaks.

Interestingly Tilly started at full back on Saturday....interesting move by Rod.

Hope our Rod doesn't get the same idea.
