Postby Bum Crack » Wed Aug 19, 2009 2:23 pm

Just keen to see what each club does for their major fundraiser each year. I'd be keen to see what the different clubs do.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

At our local club, we have an annual auction dinner. Normally have around 13 tables of 14 people on each table and each table bids for their meal. all meals are cooked weber style and the meals go for around $300.00 a table. Once we have done the meal auction, we auction off various items which are donated to the club. This year we had a couple of houseboat trips, weekends away on the Yorke Peninsula, Hawthorn premiership signed guernsey etc etc. Raised around $16,000.00 this year which we were happy with consdiering the current financial climate in the Riverland.

Sounds good O:)

I applaud all those people who manage to get these kinds of things donated, for auctions etc.

We have a quiz night fundraiser for our junior club this Friday night,
And tracking down prizes is really hard,
Especially when local business put so much into local community already.

So anyone who wants to donate anything,
Let me know :D
