i asked a page or so back about how long these coaches have been signed for.
didnt get a real answer.......so, does anyone know?
Only asking cause a few of the Centrals boys WILL be calling it a day at the end of 09 & am thinking a few appointed coaches might get the flick after next year.................fair?

Burglar...

Not sure these so called "Returning" Central District boys would want to coach... Just an assumption everyone seems to be making...

I dont think it really matter whats they have been signed for, quite a few clubs in the BL&G could afford to sack an appointed coach in order to appoint a new one.

But my feeling is most only do it for a 1 year term anyway!

Agree with you Liquid, Why would they want to come back to coach?
Wouldn't they want to come back and just enjoy their footy, without having the hassles of coaching?

$$$$$$'s maybe???

Cmon it's not like these blokes have made a squillion out of playing league footy.

Some could demand another 15K on top of match payments to coach. Pretty handy tax free income. As if thats not a motivating factor for some of the league boys....not to mention they may not want to come back and play under a coach who has had significantly less experience than himself....

It can still be classed as a second income though
If the club does it above board you receive a group certificate therefore you pay tax
But as it is classed as a second job you can claim travel, boots, etc

Tax man doesn't like the idea of people being able to claim for boots, fees, travel etc for sport so unless its a hefty pay packet it generally all good.

With still a couple of Coaching positions up for grabs and the player movements bound to happen, it would be great to get everyones thought on the season ahead.

Perhaps Ladder predictions, Schluter Medalist, rumours of player movements anf any other interesting facts (or fictions  )

Lads, LC started this thread to discuss player player movements, predicitons for 2009 etc... not to discuss tax!! lets get this back on track, there is already another BLG thread that discusses many things unrelated to football.

There is a strong rumour that the Baker boys and Norsworthy will be heading the Riverland for some big coin next year... if this is true the Donnybrooks are sinking at a rapid rate, i wonder what Seelander will be able to do to get them afloat...???

I could see Norsworthy going, I dont think he enjoyed his footy last year with the donnybrooks...

However, I have stated before, I wont believe anything about the Bakers until I see it happen...
Last year they were apparent certainties to go to Kilburn for huge coin.. Didnt happen
This year the Riverland...

All it does is push up the price Willaston offer them each year, and it becomes a waste of money...
The donnybrooks need to call their bluff, and if they lose them, well, the club can start fresh!

Don't think he'll be joining the SAAFL just yet. Hopefully one day he might return to his junior club though!!

Surely Gawler Central cant be signing players if they havent got a coach yet?
Anyone know when are the interviews or more importantly whose got the job?
