Phew. Closing the Peterborough oval (last game against Orroroo this Saturday.

All future games to be played in Jamestown.

Peterborough,

Coldest place I've ever played football. Damned near was snowing when playing and had snowed earlier in the day. Sleet on the menu for the rest of the day. Puddles of water in the pockets literally took your breath away going into packs to get the ball. Never experienced anything like it. That's going back when they were still the Peterborough Saints. Hope it's a good weekend and I know of people travelling back from interstate to say farewell to the ground.

Saw this on the weekend also, why is the ground being mothballed?

Have some faint memories of playing there for Gladstone as a kid.
