I always thought this was at the end of the year with all the mail medalists etc.

I reckon it could be in this week's Sunday Mail.. our club got a call from them a couple of weeks ago asking who our B&F, leading goal kicker was etc.

Am I going bonkers?

Wasn't there suppose to be a liftout / magazine about the country football leagues in the last Sunday Mail?

Was it only in the country editions?

just noticed this thread. If you city blokes want to read this annual full colour country footy lift out you could start by emailing the sports editor at the Sunday Mail, Tim Hilferty who is a good bloke - hilfertyt@adv.newsltd.com.au

Im pretty disappointed with the calibre of country footy in the Sunday Mail- a bunch of amatuers with less than average writing skills exercising cliche overload.there is not a country footy column in the sunday mail worth reading- its disappointing
I'm pretty sure there's a lot more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good looking. And I plan on finding out what that is.

could you give us some examples of the cliche overload MM? I saw two fairly good colour pictures in Sunday's footy pages and a good wrap on Northern Areas footy and the full team for the Landmark Cup. I thought it was good stuff.

This mornings country edition of the SM has an excellent wrap of the Landmark Cup A grade matches which flies in the face of MM's criticism I fear.

Are you kidding? Look its lovely that these enthusiastic people write reems of stuff about country football, but the sad thing it is so poorly written no-one but the people involved would bother reading it.
Personally, I don't think there's intelligent life on other planets. Why should other planets be any different from this one?
