Poses another question, how many senior (or junior) premierships has 1 person won?

Neil Pedler played in all 15 premierships.
That is a mind boggling effort.
Its impressive but not as mind boggling as Jeff Gay from Waikerie who has been on 36 straight footy trips!!

What would be an interesting stat would be to see the population of the town or area, and what club does the best with the smallest population.

The Moots would have to be up there.

The most recent generations of Fitzgeralds have obviously been very talented sportspeople, i wonder if that talent goes back past Peter, Ray and John's father's generation.

As would Western United in the Far West League. I think they're based in Charra from memory. Daisy Borlase's old club. Have won a lot of premierships, as have Thevenard who's population is quite a lot smaller than Ceduna's.

Jervois in the RMFL have also done fairly well. Won 4 straight from 2004-2007 alebeit with the help of a lot of outside recruits. They also have a reasonable tradition going back to the 30's when there wouldn't have been many outside recruits in country footy.

Do you know why they changed their name 200KW?

At the time there were two Cummins based teams playing in the Great Flinders FL - Cummins Ramblers and Cummins (Reds). Prior to WWII Cockaleechie played in the GSFL B grade comp and were essentially the Cummins Ramblers B grade team. After WWII the Cockaleechie name was adopted to reflect the area that Cummins Ramblers drew their players from and to distance themselves from the other Cummins team. This moved backfired on them however as prospective recruits moving to Cummins were under the impression that there was only one Cummins team - Cummins (Reds). Cummins Ramblers were quick to remedy the situation in 1947 and that was the last of Cockaleechie.

I was told that originally when the 2 Cummins sides were formed one was formed from people living on the East side of the Railway line and the other Side on the West. i'm pretty sure that Ramblers were East and Reds were West????? Don McSweeney would know the answers to this. Some pretty firey clashes over the years. I was a kid growing up watching the Phelps Bros and the Pedlers going for it. I left early '80's and the rivalry was still great. Very enjoyable days playing for Reds, was very depressing watching Ramblers win those 15 flags

Sounds like the town wasn't really split very evenly.

Ramblers obviously have had quite a few high profile players over the years, who are some of Cummins Red's players who have played SANFL/association footy?

I left early '80's so I lost contact for a while.
Geoff Phelps was ex Kapinnie then, came back and Reds and Kapinnie joined up

So therefore no big names produced by Cummins Reds.

I wonder if we are to judge the success of a country football club that as well as premierships we consider the amount of footballers that a club produces that go on to play at a higher level.
