I have mention this before based on a rumour , HOWEVER I spoke with him at the B&F last Friday ( which he won - congrats to him ) and he said he is staying put at Yank. Time will tell ( I believe him in what we spoke about ) I don't put him the DUNDOVICH or TIPPETT bracket.

Strath new coach a premiership player ?

Well that narrows it down to anyone who has played in a premiership side for anyone in any sport.

Would help if you were more specific, like a NAME for instance would be handy.

sorry jj meant it was from this years side sherwood i believe

Knew he was looking at coaching again. Assumed was more likely to be in Adelaide somewhere and not so close to the Creek.

Heard he is staying. Hope so, he's a pretty genuine guy. Blackwood would do due diligence, but let's face it he would a lot closer to a flag at Yank than he would ever be at Blackwood.

Ben cousins and Simon munn were joint winners for straths b&f. Cousy after missing a few games early with injury polled well late in the season great effort by him. Also to Simon munn who we thought would win easy made it back to back b&f's.

Was actually our runner for the past 2 seasons. Never applied for the main job because of family. Been involved in 12 clubs as a player due to the nature of his work (has since become a fireman). Won flags as a player at both victor harbor and mundulla. Had plenty of assistant roles but now keen on the main job

Ahhh yeah, thought his name sounded familiar. I reckoned he played at Mundulla in mid 90's when Leighton Collins played there.

Not sure that Leighton played in Qld but I could be wrong. Came from Woodville to Victor and played 5 in a row 90-94 for Victor before moving to Mundulla and I thought he retired after that. Smally played in 93, 94 and 97 flags for Victor and did go to Mundulla in between IIRC. He had played at a string of clubs before Victor (Strath, one of the Gambiers...) Looks are deceptive - despite his youthful looks and buff rig Smally is actually 86 years old!

Bit in embarrassing when the best rig in the side is the 84 year old coach.
