We have a photo of Donald, James and Travis all managed to get to the club on the same day.

Rene van Domelle (CDFC)
Damo Hynes (CDFC)
Dean Bonutto (CDFC)

There's a few more that skip my mind atm that played at Centrals, there's half a dozen getting games in the 2's out there atm aswell.

Rosewater have a very impressive photo wall.

I played against Salisbury North as a junior with Gav Wanganeen and Troy Bond in the same side, funny enough though, there was a Barry Wanganeen who was a fair bit better than these two back then.
They used to flog us, one day Barry didn't rock up til half time, we were 3 goals down at that stage, he kicked 14 in the 2nd half and we lost by 17 goals.

my father was the coach of that side at one stage and i can tell you barry was that much betta than gavin it wasnt funny, he was a superstar and i reckon he had a full grown goatie at 13 which made him intimadating as well. should have played A.F.L without a doubt.

Are Cleve Hughes and Gavin Hughes twins? I thought they may have come from another Hills club?

No not twins, not sure were Gavin is from. A mate told me Cleve only has a younger brother. Did Cleve play league footy for Norwood? pretty sure he didn't.

I'm fairly certain Cleve and Gavin are brothers. Where is Cleve playing footy these days?

Gavin and Cleve are most certainly NOT brothers. Gavin has a younger brother. Gav is from Modbury, Cleve im unsure of.

Modbury had 3 AFL recruits from 1 age group. Gav Hughes (Western Bulldogs), Nick Bachelor (Geelong) and Heath Grundy (Sydney)
I think Cleve was from Birdwood.

He did live in southern suburbs as a youngster I believe, and then family moved to Riverland. Not sure what level he played at Christies Beach, doubt he would have played any Senior football there.

He only played one year with Renmark, it was the only time he played with his two brothers Kym & Rick. Renmark won the premiership that year in a replay.

Most of Tony Modra's Riverland football was played with Loxton. When he was about 17 he got a job with Loxton Car Sales and was thinking of playing for Brown's Well. He played a trial for them on a wing and racked up a massive amount of touches. West Adelaide stepped in and had him down there the next week.

Didn't he play for Red Cliffs, over near Mildura, until an incident occurred and he went back to the RFL?

That was the year after Renmark won the premiership and happened just before the start of the next season. Doug Thomas dragged him back to Westies and his two brothers went back to Renmark.
