Horvarth went to Kersbrook after playing Ressies for North ( if I remember correctly ).

Paul Drogemuller was playing for the Brookers and played a couple of League games at West Torrens ( late 70's)

Riverland Football League had a Team of the Century last year made up of locals to play SANFL or AFL. Going through the list of Riverland teams I think Loxton came out on top with 31 players to play SANFL and three to play AFL. That is a fair record.

Smithfield:
Donald Dickie (Sturt, Norwood, Port Power)
Travis Varcoe (Central District, Geelong)
Adam Varcoe (Central District, Geelong rookie)
James Moss (Central District, Adelaide Crows rookie)

We have a photo of Donald, James and Travis all managed to get to the club on the same day.

Rene van Domelle (CDFC)
Damo Hynes (CDFC)
Dean Bonutto (CDFC)

There's a few more that skip my mind atm that played at Centrals, there's half a dozen getting games in the 2's out there atm aswell.

Rosewater have a very impressive photo wall.

I played against Salisbury North as a junior with Gav Wanganeen and Troy Bond in the same side, funny enough though, there was a Barry Wanganeen who was a fair bit better than these two back then.
They used to flog us, one day Barry didn't rock up til half time, we were 3 goals down at that stage, he kicked 14 in the 2nd half and we lost by 17 goals.

Whilst not South Australian the Leeming Bullcreek FC in Perth metro area has produced a lot of quality footballers:

Simon Black
Ben Cousins
Josh Carr
Matt Carr
Jonathon Hay
Mark Bradley
Brad Dodd
Garrick Ibbotson
Rhys Palmer
Kyle Hardingham

And about 30 WAFL players!

Roger Harris starred in the SGL for quite some time, mainly with Props, Jim Deane spent some time in Pirie, a long long time ago. One name from the 80's that never gets mentioned was Anthony Sherry. He played some league games for North Adelaide. Sam Mayes is the latest to play league footy and will probably get drafted this year. Anthony Coad, former Risdon player played for Woodville and recently name in the Police Team of the Century. Richard Arnold played for Centrals. Of course we didn't breed them but Sollies had the legendary David Granger and the even more legendary Milan Faletic. Stephen Magor, Solly player and Port coach had a brief stint at West Adelaide. The list goes on...

Are Cleve Hughes and Gavin Hughes twins? I thought they may have come from another Hills club?

No not twins, not sure were Gavin is from. A mate told me Cleve only has a younger brother. Did Cleve play league footy for Norwood? pretty sure he didn't.

I'm fairly certain Cleve and Gavin are brothers. Where is Cleve playing footy these days?

Gavin and Cleve are most certainly NOT brothers. Gavin has a younger brother. Gav is from Modbury, Cleve im unsure of.

Modbury had 3 AFL recruits from 1 age group. Gav Hughes (Western Bulldogs), Nick Bachelor (Geelong) and Heath Grundy (Sydney)
