Does a great job. I would love to do what he does actually. Quite an enviable role.

Just noticed balak's Glen Dawson didn't kick a goal last week and has been overtaken on the goalkicking table. Is he out injured or did he just have a bad day? A walkup start for Snowtown you would think?

He really struggled to get hold of the ball. Actually, our whole team struggled to get a touch. Real hard when you've got the bye to get on the scoreboard.

NAFA had over 20 blokes out to training on Sunday morning. Apparently it all went well. Classy Crystal Brook ruckman Adam Noonan strained his ankle on Saturday but one of th eselectors I spoke to said Noon's will come up okay.

I think NAFA is with Northern Cities now as Upper North (may stand corrected)

Yeah correct weight. As soon as Central Zone won the carnival in Berri in 2006 the pinheads who run football in Adelaide figured that had better dilute CZ's power base so they shafted Northern Areas and took them out of CZ and put them with the SGFL and Whyalla and Roxby and of course the team has struggled since.

...and Broken Hill isnt it! Ridiculous when you think about it. Logistically impossible and hard to build interest or team spirit when your "zone" consists of 400-500 km between the northern and southern most towns and same between Whyalla and Broken Hill. The answer is simple- let Jamestown Peterborough play as the zone team ;)

It's tough for me having only had one or two looks at players in the squad, but with my limited knowledge and for the fun of it, I'll have a crack at naming a starting line-up.

F: J. Brice, B. Niklaus, G. Dawson
HF: B. Catford, H. Walker, J. Moody
C: L. Michael, M. Higgs, C. Howell
HB: A. Mills, A. Hardiman, N. Saccafien
B: H. Pym, A. Mark, J. Montgomerie
1R: J Schahinger, L. Whitwell, J. Earl

Int: S. Rowland, C. Rimmer, B. Hardie, K. Leighton

EMG: D. Friedrichs, T. Twelftree, D. Lockwood and B. Galic.

Don't really know the Virginia players that well so apologies to those lads.
