I know a lot of players in the Riverland Football League are keen to get away from their association match with KNTFL due to the distances to travel. Players just don't want to commit. Be interested to hear if another league would be welcome as I think the RFL would look into it if so.

The RFL would have to change their guernsey!

i'm sure that wouldn't be a problem

The current format doesnt need changing, Travelling would be an issue if RFL joined aswell anyway plus why make it a 5 team comp 4 is enough.

Just asking the question.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Quick to dismiss the opportunity for other leagues to join the carnival.
Mortlock Shield on EP has 6 leagues involved and I found it an excellent carnival to be part of.
Perhaps the SGL could join in as well as the RFL or BL&G and POW! Would be a greater competition. Finding a place to host that many teams might be an issue though.

Isn't the idea that the zone side is picked from this carnival? I guess it makes it easier for the selectors if there aren't any others involved?

Be interested to see what the Yorke Peninsula dish up this year, fair to say the lack of committment to play in the carnival by most of their better players last year didn't reflect too well on the standard of footy over there. They got belted in both games by the teams that finished 2nd and 3rd.

NAFA will pick a training squad of 40 this Monday night. Whats the bet Chris Stacey will captain the side? Good choice I reckon.

Thanks OnSong. I thought it would have been in the Proddy but when I got my copy I saw it wasn't yet the Argus carried the NEFL and NAFA squads. I was interested to see if Joel Montgomerie and Todd McPharlin were included in APFL's side they killed us last year at Kadina.

League hasn't provided us with anything, which has been pretty disappointing.

what happens if you just ring the secretary and demand the list for the sports section of the paper that continually supports them during the footy season. Remind them that it is not a oneway stret?
