Pretty typical of Kenny in my experience
Season ending injury when his team is down, but somehow manages to take the field when they're back on track!

He played about 6 games there from memory. I saw 1 of them and I reckon he had about 3 kicks all day from the wing.

I saw the prelim final that year and they were 5 goals down at three quarter time to Thevenard and gone when he pulled the finger out and got them into a grand final.

That doesn't surprise me one bit. Didn't even look interested the game I saw (also against the black and whites of Thevvy) but players like that will always lift when the time arises.

Yes Killer Wasps he played around the middle as a loose man, they got the ball to him at every opportunity and he used his skills to find a player every time.

Barry Stringer kicked over 100 goals in a season when back for BSR and coached them to a number of flags.

Lachie Bowman kicked over 100 goals in 2002 for Orroroo and was a leading player when they won the flag, he played a number of seasons.

Mick Redden was a playing coach at Orroroo and lead them to the 94/95 flags as well as non playing premiership coach in 98 and then lead Jamestown/Peterborough to flags as coach.

Trevor Sims played many years at Port Broughton and was a premiership coach.

Probably fall's into the categorie of club junior going to sanfl - after progressing thru the then junior system of 17's/19's and a 50/50 split of two's/senior matches with Norwood then went back too his junior club of Millicent in the WBfl.
Following on from going back to Millicent, through new employment ventures he played the rest of his career with Nuriootpa in the Barossa & lfl and became a key member of their decade of dominance thru the 90's under Stafford;and the fellow i speak of is Damian Prouse.

As a junior playing senior football as a 15/16 year old at Millicent before and after returning from Norwood, he was an athlete playing football. He had height (6'1-6'2) he was lean but could handle himself against the stronger ff's or chf's and he had pace, could be just as damaging playing on a wing as he would playing down back. While it's a big statement, he was very much in the mould of Buddy Frankin - an athletic footballer.

Injuries and confidence in form probably cost him more games at the legs during his time there, the drop in standard from sanfl beit league or reserves back to country football never bothered him. He actually thrived on the contest of good country football, and i'm sure he aquitted himself at Nuriootpa when there.

He had himself in that position all day but they hadnt got the ball to him until the last quarter.

Brett James is coaching his Junior Club in Kersbrook and in 2008 and 09 went back to back Premiers defeating the bankrolled Torrens Valley.
Great effort and even better that both his brothers ( Roger ex Port Power/ Norwood - Paul ex Norwood/North ) went home with him and gave something back to the Club that gave them an opportunity.

Roger now playing coach for Barossa Districts.
