Played for Norwood at some stage I reakon...
Reckon he was only 16 when he made his debut.
Also played at CYP Cougars for at least one year.
Not overly tall from memory, but certainly strong.
He played for CMS Crows in 97 & 98 is that what you meant Flying High.
Wasn't it the Southern Eagles when Lester Ross was coaching? I was playing over there then and reckon he played for the Eagles - not the Crows or Cougars. He terrorised Renmark when in the Riverland. Just mark him down for 10. Unmovable and good kick for goal.
Would have been later than 97/98, probably around 2004 at the Cougars.

Yep, Ash Mac, he cuts a mean, intimidating figure. Built like the proverbial brick out-house, a bit like Matty Lappin.. Wouldn't wanna meet him in a dark alley.

Can't believe no one's mentioned the big Van Den Brink fella who used to play for the United Eagles B's in the HFL circa 2000. He would have been all of 200k if he was a gram. He played out of the goal square and his guernsey and shorts were made of track suit material. Never met him, but a mutual friend told me he was a great bloke. Biggest player I've ever seen. Adam Brewer from Maccy was a big lad too.

Ah yes, cheers mate. Absolutely loved those ads as a kid! Found a movie taped off the telly I hadn't watched in ages and that commercial was in one of the ad breaks. He'd come charging out of FF with two blokes hanging off him, take a strong mark and his opponents would just bounce off him and slump to the ground. And he'd do it time and time again! Gold!
