Pity the Umpire didn't show the game the respect it deserved. Poor example from the league's umpire coach, 6 cans under the belt before the game had started and sledged blokes all through the game........................
Good night of footy though

In other news, word on the street in Mt Barker are pulling out of the C grade comp. Is there any truth to this rumour?

If that's true, the other clubs hadn't been told up until yesterday. Is there trouble in the camp there Jailbird? Been looking forward to playing you boys again.

They've forfieted against us (Blackwood) tomorrow night, so I would think that it is true, that they have dropped out of the comp. how does a club in a town of 10,000+ people not be able to have a c-grade team?

The young lad is apparently okay in terms of not receiving a serious injury. He'll be very sore for a while though. There are some gutsy kids playing C Grade with players twice (even thrice!) their age and size. Good that the majority of players and umpires respect this. Always room for improvement.

That is disgraceful and inexcusable. Very sad if club politics have infiltrated their C Grade. It's totally disrespectful of other clubs which make a serious effort to honor their nomination and be competitive. The Mount Barker Council needs to employ a good Social Sciences graduate to find out why such a huge town has a problem fielding 66 senior footballers on week-ends.
