Just read on Sporting Pulse that Western easily accounted for Southern Districts in the first game.

However at the bottom of the page it says: Southern Districts lost score for 19 players on field.
I'm reading a book about anti-gravity. I can't put it down.

Southern were 9 pts up with three minutes to go and because they had 19 players on the field, their score was taken away from them and they kicked 2 points in those last three minutes, hence their score of 0-2

Mistakes that should not happen at a certain level?

Unfortunately for the placings games tomorrow, this will likely put Western up and out of the bottom place game, and will end up seeing a major mismatch...

How can that be when we were only 9 pts down with three minutes to go against the favourites? We must have been playing pretty well

So NZ is 0-2 - bugger. They looked really good too. Two Jamestown-Peterborough players deserve a mention. Burford (who is back with the Squids) and Oakley. Good work you blokes

SFL extends from Willunga (definitely Country) to well into the city - Edwardstown and Morphetville Park (just south of the Morphetville Racetrack on Anzac Hwy) being the furthest north.

The SFL teams south of Christie's could be considered country - don't know about the rest!

Willunga is in Great Southern League, not SFL. BUT as the Southern Zone team includes Great Southern teams, it definately does have many outside-metro area teams in it, as well as the Brightons, Marions, Morphettville Parks etc.

The finals series are about to start and Pirie is freezing cold. Although I have no proof I'm told there's a few players still driving the porcelain bus after some interesting party tricks around the town earlier this morning. The wooden spoon is up for grabs between Northern Zone and Central at 10am, then comes Eastern and Southern for third or fourth from 11.45 then the GF between Mid South East and Western at 1.30pm.
Good luck boys...
