4 horse race in the APFL, Two Wells would have to have moved into faves after knocking off the highly fancied Balaklava who suffered a loss to Virginia a few weeks back who lost to Mallala not long before that.

LADDER
Balaklava 22 (13)
Two Wells 20 (14)
Mallala 20 (14)
Virginia 18 (13)

Can't get much closer than that 3 rounds to go.

Hills Central: Mt Barker the team to beat, although Uraidla can’t be discounted as they know how to win the big games. Hahndorf the best of the rest. Bridgy will win (another) spoon.
Hills Country: Echunga favs to go back to back. Kersbook and Birdwood the only realistic challengers. United Eagles/Callington to bring up the rear (again)
SAFC- 60 years...
StKFC- 58 years..

Great Southern.
Any of the top 3 can win it.

Willunga (Top) - should remain there and go straight into the 2nd semi final. Perrenial Grand Finalists who should be there again. Lost the last 2 Grand Finals after winning previous 6.

Yankalilla (2nd) - Been around the mark last few years but are the real deal this year. Will be under huge pressure from their fans as they host the Grand Final this year which will be an advantage if they make it.

Langhorne Creek (3rd) - Reigning Premiers. Genuine chance again after a slow start to the season. Set to play Yankalilla in the Qualifying Final. Have Lost all 4 games against the above 2 teams this season but the margins have been 16 pts, 3 pts, 2pts and 3 pts so one could say theres nothing between the 3.

Suggested odds
Willunga $2.30
Yank $2.70
Creeks $3.40

Barring some massive upsets in the last 3 rounds, Encounter Bay and McLaren will play in the Elimination Final. E.Bay have been 3rd all year until last week and are not far behind the top 3 teams but would face an all but impossible task to win the flag from 4th.

In Northern Areas it is between Crystal Brook and Southern Flinders with highly respectable challengers Broughton-Mundoora and Orroroo both fancying their chances with good reason.

Tasmans are certain to win in Port Lincoln.

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

Riverland Independents
3 horse race between BSR, Paringa and Ramco.
Last 2 rounds will decide whose where in the top 3 with no one locked in yet as BSR and Paringa both have 13 wins and Ramco with 12. Paringa play Ramco this week and BSR in the last, top spot may come down to percentage.
The last spot in the finals should be Lyrup if they can beat East Murray in the last round. They will just make up the numbers with the top 3 being too strong

Very interesting, have encounter beaten a top 3 side yet? How the hell does a team have any serious potential to play a home grand final?????

In the RMFL, any of the 5 sides could win it, perhaps Mannum least likely due to lesser depth than other sides.

Ramblers are the darkhorse who are coming good at the right time.

Meningie have the names, but would need some real individually brilliant effort in the finals to become Premiers.

I thought pre season that Imps and Mypo would meet in the GF, and thats still a reasonable chance.

In GSFL, I'll tip a Yank premiership defeating Langhorne Creek by a point.

Not since they beat Creeks in round 2.

R2 EB 12-12 d LC 8-16
R5 WI 15-15 d EB 13-3
R9 YA 12-18 d EB 11-10
R11 LC 15-8 d EB 14-5
R14 WI 16-6 d EB 11-7
R18 EB v YA ???

but if they get a good run of form they could do some damage.

Home Grand Final.....that's the (stupid) way it goes now - if its your turn to host and you get there then lucky you. Was same for Creeks last year.

BMW in Northern Areas won the flag in 2000 or 2001 on their home ground of Melrose. I'm sure there would be many example of it occuring in many leagues across the state.
