So why all the ‘former junior’, ‘welcome back’, ‘return to the eagles’, ‘excited to come back to the eagles’ etc stuff??

Untrue might have played Minis at Morphies but played 2-3 years of Junior Colts at McLaren. Even played in a Junior Colt flag

Does the GSFL produce a Budget during the home and away season or do they only do them for finals?

Played nearly all his footy with South last couple of years and was in State Under 18 team last year plus got invited to the SA Draft Combine so is he just wanting to switch community clubs as a back-up whilst still expecting to play most his footy for South. In any event the transfer has been denied by South probably because South made contact with his other club about the transfer which I thought was Happy Valley.

Thanks.

He has been training all pre season and this makes sense. A number of our players have done this over the years in order to lessen points should they leave. I think he will be a league regular.

Yes that is a fair fisting.
Where do these new age coaches get of raping and pillaging former clubs.
Iljcesen did it to Morphett Vale. Bring theses players into your club and this is how they repay you.
There used to a unwritten law that coaches didn't do that.
Shame on Gianni and Iljcesen if thay think this is alright. Very selfish.

How many points do the GSFL teams get?
Some of these clubs have 8/9 recruits.
is there a salary cap?

Yes the salary cap rules apply. Whether or not all clubs adhere to them is another question entirely. I was chatting to a player from another SA league on a footy trip last year and the $ spoken of certainly didn't fit the rules.

Points: not sure if it is still the same but the GSFL rules used to be based on the average number of wins over the last 3 seasons ie:
0-3 wins -17 points
4-6 wins- 15 points
7-9 wins- 13 points
10-12 wins- 11 points
13-15 wins- 9 points
16-17 wins- 7 points
18 wins - 5 points

Players listed as "ins" aren't necessarily 'recruits' eg 4 of the ins for Victor are guys that have played for the club their whole lives but have had a year or 2 in Adelaide while at uni etc.
