A very thorough and professional review headed by the GSFL
Final scores MFC 11-7 defeated VHFC 10-10

Great outcome achieved by reviewing factual evidence by the sound of it. Cant beleive it was sorted this quick. Great work by all involved. Shame on the team manager if he tried to cheat...

Ditto...could the victor harbor team manager please come forward and admit which player he allocated the extra goal to, as that hasn't been adjusted yet (11 Goals scored) :?

OK, can we please stop with the character assassination on here.

As far as Im aware its the goal umpires who compile the scores and sign off on the paperwork.

The right decision has clearly been made, so if people insist on discussing this topic further, could they please be mindful of what they post re who was or wasnt responsible for this mix-up.

Thanks

7 Rounds down and Willunga are undefeated in ALL 4 grades played for Premiership points.
Anyone willing to make the call they will make a clean sweep and achieve the perfect season that i couldn't imagine has ever happened before in the history of the GSFL.

Creeks completely outclassed by Yank today. 6 goal loss was probably flattering.
Tough weeks ahead for them playing Willunga and Victor
Strath getting thumped today by Bays have seen them join McLaren and Myp/Sellicks as teams that wont see any September action?
Predicting Willunga, Yank, Compass and Victor as top 4 contenders which leaves Bays, Goolwa/PE and Creeks fighting for 5th spot?

By perfect season do you mean unbeaten in all 4 grades for the entire season? If so surely that hasnt happened anywhere not just GSFL. Would be an unbelievable achievment

Yep, undefeated in ALL grades is what i meant.
Very unlikely to happen obviously but the fact that theyre all undefeated after 7 rounds is quite a feat in itself.
Their A Grade look most likely to lose a game here and there but their other 3 grades could quite possibly go through unbeaten given that their % in all 3 of those grades suggest that they are a class above the other 9 clubs.

Creeks will be lucky to get within 10 goals
Having 5 - 6 quality players with help from the others can get you over the line against the lower ranked teams but it wont cut the mustard against the top few sides. Also a lack of height at both ends of the ground makes it very tough.
The only interesting game for the day may be the Junior Colts with the 2 undefeated teams squaring off.

The McLaren Football Club would like to advise that after a thorough review of our Senior Football Department we have informed Shane Sterzl our A Grade coach that we will be terminating his coaching contract immediately. We thank Shane for his time and effort that he has put into the club over the past 18 months and wish him well for the future.

Steve Jacquier appointed coach at McLaren Football Club,
Mature Coach who played for Woodville and Woodville West Torrens in the eighties and nineties.
Memory is a bit rusty but would have been coached by Balme, Blight and probably Bruce Winter.
Skilful little on baller and being from Woodville, will have some pretty keen social skills.

Feel for Sterz, as he was a tremendous one on one communicator and a very calm coach. Probably a few cattle short,

Hey Jackpot Jim
In answer to your club rankings from a couple of weeks ago.
Compass
Willunga
Goolwa
are the best 3 that McLaren have played
Victor the worst.......maybe a bad day
Not much between
Strath, Creeks and The Bays

Yet to see Yank and Pongy
Willunga
Compass
Yank
Goolwa

Bays, Victor, Creek and then Strath
McLaren and Pongy

Yank and Goolwa look as if they might struggle if injuries hit

Jim
re Willunga going through undefeated in all grades
Certainly realistic, however I doubt it.
Winter still not here and we are still running on top of the ground
Compass, Pongy and the Creeks will love some sting out of the ground
Fair chance that all 4 sides in GF

Yes I meant the Junior Colts ('JC" ;) ). Though VH JC may have thought that before Saturday too. At least they scored 20 points against them when the other 6 oppositions had only managed 12 combined! Hope Creek put up some competition.

No disrespect to McLarens but Victor were woeful Yetti, esp compared to how they played against Pongy the week prior and Goolwa the week after.

I will only get to see Compass this week and missed Yank, but I think Compass are the team to beat.
