So who will be the shakers and movers this year? The Bays haven't quite covered their big losses but have continuity, Willunga are Willunga, Goolwa look to recruited well and topped up their list. Strath are always around the mark, Victor look they have lost a bit of quality, Creeks might be on a rebuilding mission but interesting to see Benny Moore coming back after another flag at WOS. Yank could surprise with some nice pick ups. Should be a very interesting year.

Will be a lot like last year. You could finish 1st or 10th and not be poles apart.

Tips for this week - all the home teams

Pongy - could be the "sleepers" of the comp
Bays - still a good side
Strath - flag favorites vs the youngsters
Willunga - because they're willunga. But upset wouldn't surprise
Mclaren - added height, super fit and bogey side for us

No way you think that Mclarens will beat you LF - unless you have a couple of big outs this week....

I do agree that it will be a lot like last year.

Pongy - Close game, will take the Whittlesea Cup.
Bays - Should be another close game.
Strath - Elliot brothers are back + a couple of others, gonna be hard to beat.
Willunga - Flag Favs again, depth is a huge asset. Tom Corbett out for Compass?? makes a big difference.
Mclarens - Because they're playing at home. Parry v Mickeljohn will be worth the entry fee!

Pongy - Tight game, tigers very unknown to me and Pongy have Pato
Bays - Covered major losses reasonably well. Creeks with Benny Moore back but still needing a big ruck and not sure if some key players are still there or not. Mcgregor a huge out, Derham and Kellock still there?
Strath - Missed the GF by 5 goals last year against the Bays, add Sam and Marc Elliot, the Batson Brothers and Peglar with only big loss being Simounds sees them rise up to favourites. Victor with massive outs, but youth and excitement built around Iljo and Tarqs will see them competitive still.
Willunga - Compass rolled us at home last year, Pinyon kicked 9. No Pinyon for them and some good recruits to the club this year I'd like to think the Dees can get the points at home first up!
McLaren - Game of the round! Mclarens been steadily improving under Gary, Young side, needed to get some height and did that with Paz and Billings, still have Mutton and Laffin and a solid midfield. Goolwas strength will be mids and fwds, will take a little time to settle down.

As for the Creek Derham and Kellock both fronting up again plus they have managed a couple of late recruits to try to cover some critical losses in McGregor and the ruck.

Will be very interested to see who does what this year with so much movement within and out of the league. Maybe some real movers and for others some big changes to what we have seen in past seasons.

One thing for certain as it has been far too long coming around. Only one sleep to go. hahahaha

They also picked up a ruckman from Sturt (6 foot 5) has been training there for a few weeks had to wait till late last night to name him, clearance maybe not thru yet?

Goolwa (match of the round) will be interesting to see how all of the pies star recruits go. Wouldn't be surprised if mclaren got up though.

I reckon Parry is only playing first 8 or 9 games before overseas holiday so McLarens would want to bank wins whilst they have him. Billings struggled a few years ago not sure what impact he'll have.

Some good signs by the young Victor side. Had the best of the first half and if they'd converted better the game could have gone the other way.

Great win by the Creeks today down at EB. The two new recruits are very handy.

Yeh TC is still playing - been injured for a lot of pre season. Will be down in town soon.

Creeks way to good for the bays today no.17 and no.6 very good great to see some country footy again just wish it was the mighty ironbankers did enjoy the arvo tho
