No doubting that the top 20 blokes can play the game and Barnes from what I saw played very well (especially round 2 against us) but its time for a coaches MVP or player MVP award. For us to get the 3,2,1 v Willunga when we lost by 8 goals is ridiculous. Burdett had 40 and didn't get a sniff. Mieklejohn played half a quarter then sat out with a knee injury and got the 1.

Goes to show that the Ump's really don't have any idea and just go with the popular names. Again, not knocking the winner but there didn't appear to be a big spread of votes across each individual team.

Really... How can you lose by 8 & get them all - no worries with the 1, maybe even the 2 but you can't get the 3 votes. Who got them when we played you down there? Kenny Campbell would of got the 3 votes if he played the whole game - Carroll got the 3 votes?? Kenny 2 votes??

Wow Wee, Not One single post for the entire week about anyones thoughts of the upcoming Finals series. All discussion about the pointless Mail Medal. Maybe thats one of the reasons the same clubs miss the finals year in year out? For what its worth, Bays are certainties for back to back

Creeks beat Strath by 7 points
Dont think anyone saw that coming. Apart from Flogging Yank in Rd 17, their form for the last month has been ordinary.
Wow, Big Questions will be raised at Strath if they go out in straight sets after being top for most of the year.

What's up with Strath? Missing players? Huge touch up from willunga a couple weeks back, just got over Mclaren too.

McLaren SMASHED the Creeks a few weeks ago so no surprise to see Strath only just beat them considering McLaren had a Finals spot on the line. Straths flogging from Willunga was surprising tho considering Strath had top spot at stake. Probably just goes to show how good a competition we have when really it was only Yankalilla that wernt competitive.

No, Not at all. Got 2 votes one day in the hand full of 'A' Grade games i played 30 years ago. The fact that i rightfully didn't make my sides top 6 that day along with all the other comments made here about umpires giving charity votes and also that footy is a TEAM game i just think Mail Medals are pointless , thats all. Not saying that players that win them arnt good players but what does it prove?

Really think the Flag is Encounter Bays to lose from here. Creeks may have had a courageous win over Strath on Saturday but their form in the 2nd half of the season just doesn't stack up compared to the Bays. Creeks arnt the team they were of the last 3 years and have done well to get this far. Strath are a Big chance of going out in straight sets to Goolwa/P.E next week and if they do it will be a disaster ending to a season that promised so much. Goolwa/P.E. are a big chance of making it through to the GF which would be a great achievement considering the turmoil early in the season.

Suggested Flag Odds

E. Bay $1.38
L. Creek $6.00
Strath $10.00
Goolwa/P.E. $10.00

Firstly who is Damien smith

Secondly am I obviously the only one shocked by the demons v magpies result. Met only a few weeks ago. Willunga winning comfortably. Yet absolutely belted on the weekend and have thus recorded our worst result for 10years. I feel for the boys was tough to see them get belted. Id imagine they couldve won. However possibly were aware they had barely a chance of making the gf let alone winning it due to bays being so favoured. So maybe knowing that, the boys decided they would let it slip and allow a bigger points quota next yr. Smart thinking. With big names already rumoured to be joining the club. HINT norm smith medallist that retired over the weekend, and friends. I commend the boys on their smart thinking over the wkend and also commend the recruiting staff. Looking fwd to the presentation dinner where my bet is daneil butcher would win the bnf had he not missed so many games. Also for anyone who cares my player auction pool looks like it could net me a healthy return on my investment.

LMFAO 50m. Posted at the end of a long mad monday? I was more surprised that they managed to beat Goolwa in round 16! So they threw the game to get extra points for next year? Given the points system is based on the average wins in the MINOR rounds of the last 3 years - yep very smart thinking.

Ya Numpty!
