Penola led all day at home to come out over Border Districts 25.17 (167) to 11.0 (66). Just far too classy. "Hog" Merrett kicked 7 for Penola while at the other end Clint Barras kicked seven of his own for Borders.
While in the other game Kybybolite hosted Naracoorte and were only four goals down at half time. Then Naracoorte switched on and ended up winning by 121 - 27.21 (183) to 8.14 (62).
