I'm not far away either. Catch you in the huddle HTR and sincere good wishes to the boys. Minus Blackwood you would have been after your second or third flag by now. The more support you get the better so lets all get behind the Panthers.

Have heard the venue has been moved as Blackwood oval is a disgrace today, is this correct.

You are correct Cracka. Grand Final will now be held at Milang this Friday night at 7.15. Seems as though the League have dodged a bullet :D

Really? Was at footy the other day and Milang have a great deck but would the lights be up to it? Hoping milang can cause what would be a huge upset and come home with the flag!

Cheers for your support oldbomber, keep it coming posters! The lighting project was completed around 18 months ago and we've hosted several night games since then with no concerns. Certainly better than being vision-impaired by face-fulls of mud and hostile crowds at Blackwood.

As mentioned here, we will give it our best shot. We've had a big core-group of players this year who just want a kick for the love of the jumper and the club. Some will miss a guernsey Friday night :( We don't field As and Bs so every player out there will be valid C lads. We reckon we're up to it and deserve to be there.

All support welcome around the bench and in the huddles. Voices from behind the fence are invaluable for undercats so get there if you can.

There seems to be a ludicrous situation in progress regarding the location of the Div 3 Grand Final this weekend.

Blackwood had been scheduled to host the event all year. Not a level playing field for the other participants given their power, but we were ready for it and accepted it. Needless to say, we had a lot of support from everywhere to overturn a BW home final but hadn't planned on playing anywhere else.

Then Saturday we were notified that the venue had changed and that we (Milang) would be hosting. We were obviously thrilled and began to gather the necessary support personnel. 24 hours later we are told that Blackwood want the GF back and are fighting to the finish to get it.

Cracka, you seem in the know. Wondering if you can enlighten as to why the venue changed to Pantherland in the first place, and then changed again?

What a load of shyte for us to deal with in GF week. Might be a bit a fun for Blackwood but it's a big few days for our Club and we'd like a fair go. And HFL politics aside, any reasonable person would have to wonder why a Grand Final is scheduled at a competing club's home ground, when that ground is already under water and steady rain is predicted for Thursday and Friday?

Any reason it can't be played at a neutral venue eg Ironbank or Mt Lofty? Neither being used this weekend? Are they in better condition?

What is going on here ! You've got Milang Oval in pristine condition, versus Blackwood Oval which is deplorable. Who cares what Blackwood wants, do whats best for the game.

The tail has been waging the dog too many times recently when it comes to decisions like these.

You can forget about Mt Lofty, that is a disgrace.

Ironbank is in reasonable nick apart from the scoreboard pocket

Its not like the hills footy league to make dodgy decisions...said no one ever.

Are these the same peanuts in charge of div 3 that sorted out relegation issues between div 1 and 2 so well oh hang on no they changed their minds about echunga coming up to div 1 initially then lost 60+k in court costs the following year because they cant even word their own documents correctly.

As stated earlier milang deck is in mint condition, if blackwoods isnt then move it...whats the drama? Im a fan of rotateing grand finals to all clubs so no issues with a home gf if a team is lucky enough to play in one or changing location if a club cant sort their oval out for a big game.

If it is the same people involved higher with hills fl that have backflipped and stuffed up on another decision then shame on them, again.

Reasoning seems to be out the window. Might be time for the Hills Trainers' Association to get involved. There is a clause called "Duty of Care" to players, umpires and support staff and this is included in the Constitution of the HFL and all its' participants.

Pretty pathetic situation HTR. Why is this this crap happening, who is responsible etc? A good guess is that HFL too busy licking boots at stupid greedy clubs and forgetting that there are some normal people around that just want to play football. ***k your stupid capers HFL.

Good point. Let the HFL deal with it if anyone is injured and they are subsequently sued. If they blow another five figure amount they might disolve altogether so we can all play footy. 8)

Not a level playing field if it is held at Blackwood, but shift it to Milang and all is fair? :?

The HFL is pretty good at stuffing up anything they make decisions on - the same idiots who have scheduled a 2 week break during the Div 1 finals series seeing the winner of the 2nd semi having a 2 week break prior the GF (meaning a side can effectively play 2 matches in a 5 week period during finals)
No ability to make smart decisions whatsoever - AGAIN!!!

A vote of no confidence should have been taken the minute that it was found they were liable for all court costs regarding the relegation saga and the misinformation delivered to the clubs regarding the likely outcome.

It really is deplorable to put the 2 clubs playing in the revamped Div 3 comp GF in this situation leading up to the main match of the year for them.
Surely a neutral ground can be found geographically suitable to both clubs with revenue split back to these clubs and a greater chance of larger numbers attending.

This is a competition that should be supported as much as possible - not torn apart!

Remember how they handled the Div 1 finals series last season re ground allocation and performed some major back-flips to accommodate Mt Barker - history repeats - and the clubs have allowed this by keeping the HFL in tact without the retribution they should have endured.

Go the Panthers - maker this a situation to empower your players as Echunga did last year.

The decision to keep it at Blackwood could have been made by the potential crowd that could be drawn at Blackwood and the possible gate revenue that could be made by the HFL???

I believe it was initially changed from Blackwood to Milang due to the disgraceful state of Blackwood oval. Onkas got to see it 1st hand on Saturday & by all comments I've heard (I wasn't there) it's not fit to play on. With rain forecast for Friday I'm as dumbfounded as everyone as to why they've even considered moving it back there.
The only reason I can think of is they might get a bigger crowd at Blackwood, going by posts on here, there might be a few SFL people who would go & watch it. Not a good enough reason for me.

These are the same fwits who moved the elimination final date forward with only 8 days or so noticed after players had made arrangements to work that weekend so they could play on the original date meaning 5 regular C grade players could not play that day for us.

Don't get me wrong, full credit to Milang who beat us on the day, but I am sick to death of these rubbish backflip and spur of the moment decisions made by people within the league.

The politics really does ruin our football league.

That's why they have 2 directors that get paid 5 k a year for ground inspections
What a joke
What's wrong with Callington ?
They must need to replenish the hfl bank account
If a player gets badly injured due to the shocking state of the oval , are the directors going to pay his medical costs.
Draw a line in the sand Milang you have nothing to lose
