How does each league programme their finals venues? APFL has them set when the draw comes out pre-season but I know some comps wait and set them at neutral grounds. APFL is on a rotation so that all clubs get revenue from hosting games.

Rotation policy is alive and well in North Eastern and Norther Areas.
Worse thing about NAFA is they spread it over four Saturdays. Winner of the Elimination final gets a week off. Poor effort IMO

Proper Country leagues don't play footy on Sundays though.....

Sometimes it helps to have a week off after the 1st Semi sometimes it is doesn't

The programming has to fit around family involvement in netball and that is fair enough

Same as the Mallee league. Absolute rubbish. The second semi-final should be played first.
Or just play both semis over one weekend.

Oh yeah I agree with this. North Eastern do this but neighbouring Northern Areas remains a servant of the netty chics

And so they should, people just don't get that in country areeas the netball is just as important to the community as football. If netball dont want to play sunday thats fine and football should work around it as they do.

Spot on Days, netty is an integral part of the finals
Was over 2000 at the BL&G first final and the club made a bucket of cash. The atmosphere is great when both sports are involved

I wondered about that too. I think he means leagues that combine footy/netty which is a proven system. Leagues like SPencer Gulf go it alone and barely survive with smaller crowds and not much of a family atmosphere

But in YPFL the netball only has a final 4 and so only plays Saturdays.

Having said that, I don't understand the problem with a league playing Sat/Sun with a final four format. It is only for one weekend of the year. For footy, the idea of giving the 3rd ranked team a week off after beating a lower ranked team, while the 2nd ranked team plays/loses a harder game and doesn't get the same break is a joke.
